Hey guys, I have tried setting up R3E on my 'old' pc using a xbox one controller. The problem I am having is after about 20-30 seconds practicing on lakeview with the BMW Judd I start to get some sound issues like popping, hanging and cutting out, shortly followed by input lag and stuttering. By about the 60 second mark the input lag is close to 1 second and the wall greets me happily. My graphical settings do not affect this and it seems unrelated to fps. Even on the low graphical setting with high fps does this occur. This does not happen on my main rig. /thank God I tried joining a multiplayer server running Nurburgring with the McLaren GT3 and I still got the sound issue but didn't seem to get input lag, just stuttering. I have checked my audio drivers are the latest (gigabyte do not have win 8.1 listed in the drivers for my mainboard, this could be the issue, don't know.) I tried lowering my sound format in the realtek audio manager from to 24 bits, 48000 Hz to 16 bits, 48000 Hz. Verified integrity of files, no problems there. I tried another Italian racing sim, seems fine. Under the path "\\Documents\My Games\SimBin" I have 4 folders: Crash Dumps RaceRoom Racing Experience RaceRoom Racing Experience Install 2 RaceRoom Racing Experience Install 3 This seems weird and may or may not be related. My dxdiag for the machine in question is attached.
OK devs, I have pinpointed the issue. It is directly related to the XBOX One controller. I tried using my old 360 pad and the problem went away. Are there any logs that might be somewhere that you could use to help? If not, do you have a rough timeframe for if/when this controller will be supported?
Morning, it's a known issue, I can't remember exactly where off-hand but if you search the forum it's well documented and there may be a work around.
Found it. I'll link it here for others that look at this thread. https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/stutter-still-not-fix.1397/
