You also need to be around 40 with a solid middleclass income, at least :)

Let me share my personal experience with Mige direct drive. I bought Augury Kit OSW small mige (using MMos). Absolutely love it and everything works like a charm, no issues. A friend of mine bought OSW large mige motor (using simucube). I was lucky enough to try it out. It felt like a big daddy and great too. A lot comes down to settings and software you use and of-course different DD slightly different feel. The large Mige motor feels more refined loaded with power and information whilst small Mige is dangerously powerful and a little bit snappy, sharp and also plenty info coming through the wheel which is why I love it so much. Bad boy that is. I like the exaggerated aggressiveness while driving as it gives me adrenaline rush. Damping can reduce snappy behavior if not your cup of tea. Sumucube software for OSW can be nasty at times and you never know when is going to screw things up. This may not be the case with the latest dedicated Simucube DD, Who ever owns it, please share the experience.

If you ever buy Direct Drive, you will love it and then you will spend a few more thousands on a new rig, wheel etc..... rice every day for 2 years at least, but you won't care. :D

EDIT: Since Sector 3 is offering some support for the Podium series, you may as well go with Podium but I am not sure about the performance. Gamer Muscle saying it feels pretty much like OSW.

I'm 50 and I didn't spend a fortune on a DD, bought 2nd hand, in fact I bought the Accuforce last year and snagged an OSW with 2 rims a few weeks ago for a cheap price, cheaper than buying a V2.5 and rim anyway.

They do occasionally come up for sale at the right price if you know where to look and 2nd hand isn't an issue as they are bulletproof, there are some Facebook high end sim gear buy and sell groups.

Personally I wouldn't drop 1500 quid on one but then I didn't so DD for cheap is all good.

EDIT* Right now I use a TM-T500RS base with a F599XX Evo rim. I don't need more power from my wheel (I think the TM-T500RS base can produce around 4,5-5Nm) just more information/fidelity, so a DD wheel is probably what I will throw money on next time I get any left in my wallet. :D
This is my #1 choice right now: https://sim-pli.city/collections/all/products/sw7c-7nm-direct-drive-wheel

Nah, 18-20 isn't really needed but I would go with the 12C+ they do, 7 isn't enough, one of our lads bought one he loves it.

Thats why I will go with the 7Nm so I don't risk anythink in my "flimsy" DIY rig. Still it's protruded aluminium but it needs to be welded together instead of the bolts and nuts I have now to keep it together :D

Would love to have a big one but unfortunately money is an issue and I don't want to risk anything on my rig so the 7Nm (or maybe the 10Nm) will have to do. Still need to get a desent rim that I can attach that will hold together for a couple of years. The Thrustmaster 599xx Evo rim I use now is quite worn after nearly 3 years of daily use :(

G27 Wheel, pedal and shifter. All stock. Don't know anything else. So, ignorance is bliss.

Hi all, im using the T-GT and im pleased to see how well it is supported, you can even customize / use the dials, i think that isnt possible in Assetto. FFB is great, too.

G27, with a larger Momo branded rim (cheap fake im sure), wired up real center horn (for trucking), and new buttons. Does all i need it to, and so far, going on maybe a year since modded, it has held up well to the extra load of the larger wheel.

Thrusmaster TMX Pro with 3 pedals...upgrade from old DFGT. Works great, bargain price. Got old Act-Labs USB shifter hooked up too for 6 speed action. Works fine in RRE and AC so far.

How much stronger are the T-GT and TS-X than the T300? Not sure of their outputs.
