The future of DTM will be GT Plus: GT3 cars, BOP´d and with ~ 600 hp and a Push2Pass button. Still sprint races. That´s what Gerhard Berger proposed to the DMSB. (German)
Class1 will be an empty box. The cooperation and efforts of Super GT (GTA), which has made concessions under the name of negotiations, have ended meaninglessly. It's very disappointing and frustrating. The collaborative race lasted only one season, and the ongoing planning became a illusion. In terms of cost Class1 helped. But what is the meaning of Class1 only for SuperGT? The R3E should put the Super GT in an empty seat in the DTM.
Not surprising but still sad to officially see the class 1 regulations come to an end. Personally i wouldve actually preferred a bmw cup if the grid could get up to 18-20 drivers but that was never realistic
Have not watched any DTM for some time, much prefer GTs. So I would love to see DTM return to much more standard touring cars. There are so many big engined powerful tourers around now that a sort of touring car version of GT3 would be great. A field full of big powerful Audis, Mercs, Jaguars, BMWs, Alfas, Camaros, Mustangs etc would be well worth seeing.
Oh no, please not. Visiting the DTM till starting back in the 2000s every year on Nurburgring and I was every time very happy to see those special cars. Probably it's not that spectacular on the TV, but on track they where fantastic. I really don't want to see another GT Series. It's boring to see everywhere those GT Cars. Yeah, I'm really unhappy with it. I know it was to much money they had to put on it, but I had pressed all thumbs that they would get to live sometime again. Unfortunately it seems that there come no good times to us Motorsport Freaks out there :\
Does anyone know how this drive by wire steering works that is seen in German GTC races? Obviously it must be some force feedback steering, but I´m curious what they are using.
Some information and video by the guys who have to know it: https://www.schaeffler-paravan.de/en/products/space-drive-system/ Greetings

Hyundai retires from the WTCR race on Nürburgring/Nordschleife and possibly from the series because they feel being treated unfairly in BoP and by the fact that Renault, Audi and Alfa are still allowed to use their own ECU (Motorsteuergerät) instead of the uniform one that should be used in 2020. Hyundai were graded down to 95% power from previously 97,5% and didn´t do well in Zolder.
