That's right! Finally the days of taking photos of your setups with your phone will be over. You will be able to save & load setups in your virtual Garage. We will create a new forum section where you can share your setups, once the next patch is out. Screenshots show Work in Progress. End Result might look slightly different. Enjoy!
Awesome! Thank you! Would also be nice if you guys can add the feature to share the setup with the other fellow drivers when they ask...."Anyone care to share a setup please?"
@Stefan Mizzi Sharing Setups: Maybe in the future. One step at a time. @Turbo That's also on our to do list, but unlikely to be included in this update.
Crucial necessity if you ask me. My main concern is no longer having to swap controller profiles when switching cars.
Yes but....i don't know how it will look once it is introduced but as "steering settings" is under "car setup" would it feel natural with "shift settings" in the same place. Or will it be a controll set for each car?
Doesn't look like we'll be able to set starting fuel from those screenshots. I thought that was one of the features to come with this update.
This is just an announcement of one feature, saving setups, nothing more and nothing less. Where did you read that setting the amount of fuel will be released alongside this feature? No, I don't think so, that would be unnecessarily complicated. As "Sector3" said, there'll be a sollution for that issue, but not right now.
I read somewhere that fuel setting was a feature being worked on and just presumed (or maybe just hoped) that it would come along with this next big update.
So NO IN-GAME sharing then, why when this was a feature in Race07?, you obviously had the Tech back then, I can't believe it's taken so long to get this feature and yet we're still a not on a par with a game that was out 7 or so years ago!
They working hard on new features, they have a hard time because of the crash issue between quali and race, they still work on the Nordschleife, they test other cool stuff what do you not know. Be Patient and give them time and pls be always fair and calm down. Btw: race07 isnt raceroom dont forget that!
Ah I see, thought somebody might be spreading some rumors... Would be neat indeed and will certainly make its way into the game, but it's not linked to this afaik. Smaller team, starting from scratch, with different priorities at the start.
It apparently took 7 days for the world to be created and that was "God" so lets be patient shall we ;-)
And just have a look at how many bugs he left in it! And most of those are still not fixed, after 4.5 billion years.
What's the big deal with sharing setups anyway? Default setups are great starting points and further adjusting is almost always down to your personal preferences. Saving setups, on the other hand is hugely important. Now a graphic showing of the gear ratios is the thing I personally miss from the older games, hope that's being worked on.
I didn't think they were that much smaller when they first started out with R3E, but leaving that aside they already had much of the tech\code from Race07 for Tyre Temp\Pressure and Saving\Loading\SHARING of Setups, that could have been updated\modified for use with R3E, features that IMO should have been in from the start. R3E is a premium product but has been missing even basic features of premium race sim, I've spent a sh!t load of money on it (I own just about every pack\track available) in the hope that they will eventually deliver.
