No offense intended, but have another look at that glass above. Spending money in anticipation of certain features to be included is a risk to say the very least. Even before they switched to Sector3 the staff was about half the size of what it was back in those days. How much of the Race code is being used here is difficult to judge. But from what I know they had to build a lot of stuff from scratch or modify existing code heavily to make it work with the (then) base concept of R3E.
My glass is pretty much full of R3E content thanks, though I can drink a little bit to make room for the next WTCC pack Please don't get me wrong, I am 110% behind R3E\S3 (anyone that knows me from RD will know that), I complain because I want it to be as good as I know it can be and OK nobody ever said we were getting sharing but it's nice to let off steam once in a while when you don't get something you've been hoping for
Don't worry, I get it. We all want those features (although in-game setup sharing isn't anywhere near the top of my personal priority list tbh) but it kinda is how it is for now. They're making progress, slower than some might prefer, but steady. That's my daily drug-test here at Sector3. If my blood level isn't at least at .5 per mill they wont let me do any testing.
A good one would be to add "autoclutch" and "H shifter" options in the setup screen, so there's less hassle between switching from an old BMW to a new one.. Always have to go to controls -> advanced, and to vehicle settings. But this feature looks cool, and I will definately start using setups when this rolls around!
I only have to go to controls (on the track) and choose my H-shift/sequential stick or paddle control set and I like it like that. Each with there own ffb characteristics .
R3e is behind in features it should have and keeps getting farther behind as time goes on. No matter what the reason is, and I sympathies and support S3, but some of the game features should be in the game by now. Anywho, I'll keep on driving with what we have and make the best of it and enjoy it.
Perhaps these settings will be saved somewhere in separate files on disk. It shouldn't be too hard to share those files. Lots of communities share setup/FFB settings like that without there being an "official" way to share them.
"We want more communication!" Company communicates with a new feature coming in a patch "Yeah that's great but we want this other thing./Why aren't you doing this unrelated thing?/This should have been in x amount earlier and I know that because y." You all can't have it both ways. I'm N O T saying you shouldn't request features you want. I'm N O T saying you shouldn't communicate with the userbase. But please try to understand how disappointing it is, from a developer standpoint, to look in a thread you made about a new feature you're excited about just to see a bunch of posts with "This should have been in the game a long time ago" "You're game is lacking features present in every other game" "When is the next thing" etc. There doesn't have to be a huge HOORAY party or anything, but really there are other places to post the other comments and some which simply don't need to be made. /rant
