Downloaded the update overnight, started R3E, purchased Nordschleife and WTCC2015 cars, drove two laps on Nordschleife. Everything was fine. Closed the software and installed LGS update. Now R3E crashes when I try to start a practice session asked Steam to validate the files and it says all is good
i have the same "crash report" Problem when you out of Menu and Track and Cars are loading i7 4790K 4.00 GHz , SLI 2x GTX 780TI, RAM 16 GB
Hello, We've taken a look at the crash dump and the error message you posted here. It seems like the game fails to compile a shader. It's very odd that this has happened after the installation of the LGS... Could you please verify the integrity of the game cache, while we try to figure this out? It could simply be a corrupted file. To do this: · Go to the Library tab in Steam · Right-click on RaceRoom Racing Experience in the game list · In the drop-down menu that appears, click "Properties" menu item · In the window that appears, go to the "Local Files" tab · Click the "Verify integrity of Game Cache" Steam will now check for any missing/corrupted files and re-download any files with issues.
This was specifically directed at Bottroper, are you having the exact same issue? (As in the error message he's posted) Could you post your crash dump, if you have one?
Hi Hannes, Thanks for getting back so quickly. I've done that once this morning and then again after you asked me. Still the same problem. Marc PS. Steam said that R3E downloaded a file, but the size of the file is 0, so I'm not sure what's happening PPS I am running the cache verification once more. steam says it's downloading a file, but the size is 0 bytes. Might be part of the verification process PPPS Please don't make me reinstall it, download takes about 20 hours
have you tried inserting that Launch-Options, that are Mentioned in the Error-Message? https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=1040-JWMT-2947&l=english
Good to hear JakkeFin! @Bottroper Have you tried the inserting the -cefNoGPU in the Launch options in Steam?
I wrote command to game shortcut in desktop and it didnt work. when i set -cefnogpu in steam Launch options, it worked
We've taken a look at your crash file and it seems that the error is that the game fails to allocate memory. As Nordschleife is (by far) the largest track in the game it will require quite a bit more memory on load. Please make sure that your Page File (a file Windows uses to save data when there's too much to keep in the RAM) has a high enough minimum and maximum size. Also make sure you actually have enough free disk space on the Hard drive where this page file is stored.
