That's a good question, should we do Bathurst since its still fresh in people's mind, or do it chronological order and do zolder first. Gran master Benito @::SKRO:: can answer that.
Ok so for this Saturday: We're gonna do Zolder R02 first and then Bathurst R02 We're doing the reverse grid during race session so server will be Practice 5 / Quali 5 / Race 38min for both races. The reverse grid is also our usual formation lap leading to rolling start so after Chris has finished announcing the names we're gonna go around the track one lap and once on the straight we take off To limit/avoid chances that the server will go ballistic as it happened in the past, we're gonna use the same server for both races: after we've done with Zolder, I'll turn the server off, change the track and I'll turn it back on again with Bathrust. In the unfortunate (and let's hope not happening) event of another server malfunction I ask you to abandon the race and text me on private steam chat a single: I'M OUT. If I'm getting a lot of these messages (>50%) out I'll jump out as well (if I'm not already) and kill the server immediately, restarting it. Thanks!
You can refresh your memory with a bit of offline lapping No seriously it's gonna be a long night and with two races so it'd be better to start right away without delaying with practice time
Not able to make this Saturday (Sunday my time) as it is Mothers day here and we are hosting this year.
i know time is a factor with the 2 long races. will 5 minutes be long enough to form the reverse grid?
Agreed, Bathurst is a long track @ 2.10-12s per lap, maybe a extra few minutes will be needed there for the reverse formation, not that I will be taking part
Sorry maybe I didn't explain myself very clearly: We're doing the reverse grid during race session that's why we'll set Race session length to 38min (Practice and Quali are set to 5 cause I, personally, believe it's the minimum "safe" amount of time to avoid freezing & errors during session transitions) Basically we will all start from the grid and, as if we were in the pits, Chris will call names. We'll get into position and do a single formation lap (1 only) and then off we go! Hope now it's clear
sorry guys power outage where the servers is. I am bringing a backup one up with practice servers for tomorrow's race Edit : Backup is up. (Practice servers for Zolder and Bathurst)
Thanks everyone for the great races tonight and for your participation in this season! I hope you did enjoy racing with us and we hope to see you soon for the next champ! I'll update the results as soon as possible so you can bathe in the glory of your stats
Good series all. I learned a lot and really enjoyed it and had fun with all of you...even though @::SKRO:: put me in the slower of the two cars. My personal highlight was getting in the zone at Zolder tonight....Even though Emilio payed @chrisnj to sabotage me at the start with a drive thru Managed to get 5th...miracle.
@Yevgeny Lazorenko not sure what happened at the start laz on the hill down, maybe connection issue? You were behind me on the hill after I passed you, then off the track into the wall, then we hit again on the corners at the bottom somehow....no idea how you got there. So if we hit, it was completely on accident/connection, sry.
