Bug or by design? Problem my end? Graphic setting? Looks a bit odd driving through the forest with shadows everywhere but not falling on the cars.
I`ll get you a screen, bright sun shiny car in a dark shadow You know what i mean tho, you drive thru the shadow but it dosnt show on the car, vid would probably be better, Nords, cant remember the layout, gonna have a look now! Edit - I lied, well sort of, the shadow is cast over the car but the effect is that light that it is negligable, may as well not be a shadow cast at all for the effect it has, very very light, subtle change. Driving view is a bitch aint it I posted from memory after driving bonnet view where it is only really noticable on the white bonnet lettering. Nowhere near as obvious as the image above.
Yea, I guess it's a usability trade-off. If they tried to simulate the actual difference in brightness between areas where there's sunlight and areas where there's shadows those areas would appear too dark to see anything. On my monitor (Benq GW2760S) the shadows are actually quite dark already, to a point where I had them disabled in the past cause it was just too distracting.
I had been driving cockpit view and didnt really take much notice, gave up on it as i dont enjoy it, going back to bonnet view in the Nissan its dark bonnet and light numbers the shadow casting wasnt noticable at all at speed but going slow you can just see the change in shade of the numbers, very slight but it is there, would like a little stronger shadow cast myself, but it is what it is.
True, I guess everyting is also set up to work properly in cockpit view, which is a tad darker o/c. Not sure if sb could darken shadows with a little sweetfx reshading?
Havnt tried that for a long time, it used to cause too many issues for me personally so gave up. I guess its evolved quite a lot from then, probably wont use it tho, if you cant do it in game i dont want something running to force it.
Well there's this: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/sweet-fx-graphics-enhancement.5397/ Haven't tried myself, but doesn't look too shabby. Maybe worth giving it a shot, performance hit seems to be marginal.
Cheers bud, may give it a try and see how it goes, may also just have a play with tv\monitor settings for brightness\contrast.
Thought I'd check this out as I always use cockpit view, and from the external view the tree shadows fall very well across the car.
Yep, idk, i must of been blind or having a blonde moment, but i can see the shadows perfectly now, they are everywhere and obvious, i feel a bit like Homer Simpson, DOH, anyone got a donut?
Hey, you better back off there a bit sonny boy, AMERICAN, wtf!!! Lol. Edit, thats like the first car skin i ever did, toca 2 with that guys stoned face all over the bonnet, very tastefull
