In our Balkan Raceroom League all drivers have problem with auto-clutch option. On main menu(picture) you can see that this option not operational. Some of us have stuck on OFF and someone on ON after patch. On track when I tried with F5 to change auto-clutch is stuck on ON, no possible to change.
cars that have sequential semi boxes now have auto clutch enabled full time as in real life ... or this is what i believe the case to be Andi
... but you can still use your clutch like always. Even with auto clutch enabled. For standing starts etc I operate the clutch manually.
a car with a sequential semi auto box is just that sequential and auto clutch , i cant duplicate sitting on the line for 1 second ; if there is a bug , tell me but give me the variables , the car the track etc ... but no; come in and spit the dummy out is so much more productive....... Andi
It's usually not me, but you who gives sarcastic & ironic answer for those who want to use this software. Keep that in your mind next time, my friend. Secondly, I used to write down what I don't like and why, and how it should be changed; the fanboys gave me their answers with many disagrees and dislike, and usually no response from a beta tester/developer. On the problem: we have this issue with the DTM 2013 cars.
I don't say it's a bug. But it's a joke, I can't control the start, because the auto clutch starts the car lightly and safely. It was with BMW M3 DTM (DTM 2013) and Oschersleben. Try it.
thanks ; i will and ill try to get others to test aswell and yep i am ever so slightly sarcastic , but in a loving way ; just like a grandmothers little dog , happy to see you and your leg Andi
Meanwhile we discussed this thing with Balázs; my idea is that maybe the game overwrites the player's clutch-usage. After you release the clutch, the game notices that you don't use the clutch, and it gets into the auto-clutch phase. Idk what environment do you have @Andi Goodwin & other beta testers, but can you take a look at that what I wrote down?
You're wrong, a sequential gearbox doesn't have autoclutch. I think you make a confusion between sequential gearbox and semi-automatic gearbox. A semi-automatic gearbox has autoclutch : a robot command completly the clutch, so a clutch pedal or paddle is no longer requested. However, a sequential gearbox has a manual clutch commanded by a pedal or a paddle. An action from the driver is requested to make the gearbox working properly. In the current race cars, of course, no action on the clutch is requested except in these cases : neutral to 1st gear and neutral to reverse gear. Once the 1st gear is engaged, a selector drum take over the clutch. You can have a look on some GT3 or DTM cars for examples, they all have a clutch pedal or a clutch paddle. So, autoclutch in sequential gearbox is completly absurd and irrelevant.
This is not a question of anger but a question of common sense And, where you see anger in my previous post ?
This is my experience also. Not the way it should be. As far as I know, most (all?) racecars with sequential gearbox have manual clutch, which is needed when shifting from N to 1 or R. True, you can override the auto clutch with the clutch pedal, but it's meaningless not being able to disable it to resemble the real thing. I like the realism of being able to stall the engine. Also, this might have influence when you're locking your wheels during braking, as the auto clutch will kick in and "assist" you in not stalling. And it worked properly before the patch, I believe. Edit: And for standing start it really sucks.
