Reminds me that when visiting Denmark and Sweden many years ago I noticed that Scandinavians seem to have a faible for American Muscle Cars (beneath tax free booze )....do they (still) ?
Our most famous race car was nicknamed the Turbobrick and it's still seeing action in folkracing etc. Ofcourse we're gonna like muscle cars. Lamborghini? Ain't got nuthin on MOTHER F*CKER JONES:
They have a thing for huge and polluting piles of steel from the US 50's for sure. http://www.messynessychic.com/2015/...arding-more-1950s-american-cars-than-the-usa/ http://americar.org/category/news/
Love the Brick, one of my favorite RRE Cars (Germans called it "Schwedenpanzer" /"swedish tank" ) Nowadays you built two cars of it (from the sheet metal alone - similar to the old Beetle, nearly undestroyable..)
I had already asked myself, waht is the next race tracks. A new jewel from sweden ... I find it cool. In my opinion, RRRE currently has the best track selection at the Race Sims. Many demanding routes like also Falkenberg. In addition, the high quality of the racetracks. I'm looking forward to release.
This is the track I was hoping for when you started announcing swedish tracks! Drove it alot in Grand Prix Legends a long time ago.
All nice tracks, Falkenberg, Anderstorp, Mantorp Park. But already small narrow circuits. Look forward to big known circuits. Such as Barcelona (Spain), Navarre (Spain), Misano (Italy), Nogaro (France) and Magny-Cours (France). Hope that some of these tracks will ever be made in Raceroom.
I agree, there are too many small circuits in R3E. Personally, I find them less interesting and not adapted to the powerful cars that make up the bulk of the game.
Colour me the other way around - I love hustling cars around these types of tracks and the variety of circuits in R3E is excellent. This was on my Top 3 wishlist, so glad to see it happen - Road Atlanta next please
My one frustration with this track in Race was the AI's inability to cope with the last corner. Really looking forward to a sorted version of that!
Great!! I did not know this circuit but I think I will like it very much. Still I hope Raceroom will soon include La Sarthe, Imola, Mugello, Watkins Glen, Road America, etc. In my opinion, another circuit that can be impressive in RaceRoom would be VIR, it is narrow, long, with unevenness and with all its variants very funny. I prefer more circuits and less cars !! Sorry for the English
Imo I rather have a lot of smaller tracks, than a few long. Longer tracks also tend to get a bit boring in some sections, plus that the gaps between good and bad drivers in a race gets longer, I much more prefer close racing. But as said, I think R3E have a good mix of both, and do to the time it takes to make the longer tracks, it's not that strange that we get more of normal and short tracks. I would also suggest that you try some powerfull cars on those small tracks. Modern DTM for example, is a blast on those short, twitchy swedish tracks, really demanding, and super fun!
Seems like it could be a fun little track where you should be able to get a run on the competition if you get your lines right. Have never driven it admittedly, but looking at the layout, I reckon momentum would be important on it. Track looks a bit like they tried to make an oval, but this is Sweden after all, so out came the booze. After a long night of "hard work", this was the resulting design:
I can understand but still it should not make a peculiarity ... Who would like to be the specialist of short tracks ?! Vote Le Mans - ok Circuit de la Sarthe comme on ne dit presque jamais en France !
Always nice to welcome a new circuit! Dont know it so as with Mantorp and Karlskoga (which i still have to buy) it will be nice to discover some new terrain.. Thanks! Edit: just watched some videos and damn this is a short circuit..
