Hey @vmaki I'm glad you are enjoying it. Like Timmy L mentioned it is hard to stop thinking about stuff to add, change, build and that can be as much fun as the racing part... and the tweaking part, and making skins, and playing with telemetry etc. etc. So many things about this hobby grab my interest that it's no wonder that I'm still addicted after decades. But I remember certain "milestone" steps along the way and one that made such an enormous difference for me was going from racing at a desk to having a rig. The ergonomics were far better and I then had a dedicated spot where I could race at will instead of feeling guilty for hog'n the tv. lol Enjoy! Bailey
My first rig was also a construction out of wood, paint, carpet, cheap FK seat and I spent perhaps 100 Euros on it... but it was quiet a game changer! https://1drv.ms/i/s!AvNDcHr4Dedugk2347D4fjETIRTp It was a long way to my actual rig, rSeat RS1 with Oculus Rift... https://1drv.ms/i/s!AvNDcHr4Dedugk_dHhWgsJ-_xcHn
I was going to make two jokes Tarik, but I'll go with the 2nd choice, are you printing blank cheque's there in the bottom left.. P.S 1st choice was, whats on the box tonight..
My cave looks like this at the moment Pretty simple, cheap but works great! And I am pretty fast with that
This is the current state of my rig... The wheelbase is still my old fan modded G25 that seems to last forever. Theres alot of DIY stuff like the not so quick release for two steering wheels, H-shifter with seq addon and handbrake. The G25 pedals is heavily modded with a ricmotech loadcell, leo bodnar pots and cable to make them a standalone device and the bits and pieces you can see on the pic. Gas and brake pedal can be adjusted for easy heel and toe. On the wall hangs my oculus rift and a BMW DTM wheel I made that looks really god and has easy to reach buttons but make my hands hurt so its currently not in use. Also a little pic of my kids PS4 rig in front of a 60" TV.
Crappy wood rig and home made triple monitor mount. Pretty consistently running division1 in WTCC so figure it's time for some upgrades. Just order V2.5. Next month dropping the big cash on Sim-lab GT rig and triples mount. Need a nice sequential too.
You will not regret it. I have the P1 with integrated triple brackets. Does not move one mm...Very happy with it. The Heusinkveld SQ shifter works really well and takes very little space on the rig. The Fanatec CSW SQ shifter works great too, but I now use it only for H-pattern shifting.
That's the set up Im thinking of. Fanatec for H pattern and pro sim lite for sequential. I was wondering about the integrated triples brackets. I was worried that I won't be able to get the monitor distance right.
I have the triples at 59cm from my eyes. That is about as close as I can get them without interfering with the Fanatec V2 base. I can get them closer, but then I need to lower the wheelbase. The rig on its own is very adjustable in all directions. Initially I ordered the triple stand (mostly because I was worried about too much movement of the screens), but Richard convinced me to take the integrated brackets and I did not regret it.
