Have fun!!! I’ve been driving sims with the Rift for months now and there’s no turning back to screens! I hope you’ll enjoy it just like me!
After 15 minutes, I was sick for 12 hours when I first tried VR.. But it was just to good to back down! After a week I was cured.
woah sounds hard.. im fine with my rift -- lucky me haha hope u can enjoy youre rift now heppsan ^^ @ Thomas. im in Love ! Rift is amazing
I love it! Took me a week of hard dedication, increasing my time in VR with 5-10 minutes every session, 1 to 2 times a day. After that week I can do anything in VR without feeling sick, and have raced 4-5 hours straight with no problems.
After a bit of a hiatus for many months I'm getting back into racing so have rebuilt my rig, replacing my single screen with triple Acer XZ271 curved monitors. I sold my Fanatec CSW V2 and replaced with a Simxperience Accuforce V1. I've just bought all the content for R3E a couple of weeks ago and already back in love with this sim. I've got a DIY wind solution which I've not put back on yet, still have VR and now also looking at dashboards etc but for now here's my current rig.
I got myself a 3D-printer to make some fun stuff like this! I just found out how to get rid of the nasty scars on the surface so I might print a new front piece.
Been upgrading my current sim rig for over 15 years, but this is how it look at the moment. It all started with a second hand Logitech Wingman Formula wheel (The yellow without FFB) I had on my desktop and a single 17" CRT screen by iiyama and a office chair on wheels. The things in the pictures are the things I use at the moment. Would love to get my hands on a DD system from Sim-Plicity and a wheel rim from Turn Racing More pics Here
The fees on the outstanding parking tickets are gonna be MASSIVE if the rig has been parked in that zone for 15 years Jorgen.
Please don't tell any authority I have it parked there... it's hidden away from normal sight so I hope it can be parked a couple of more years before I move it
Well it's really useful for the endurance races I'w been in, and a gives that extra feeling of "I am a professional race driver" Just something I found laying around from the days I was active in MTB races irl
I've got 2 days off and plan to overhaul my room a bit. I've made myself a sliding roof for adding immersion in tin tops, I want to relocate the Oculus sensor and there's a ton of tidying up to do. This afternoon though I took my newest rim for a spin after putting the Christmas decorations away. I plan to do a better photo shoot in the near future but for now check out my favourite rim 'ever' which started life on THIS thread and of course was made by HoiHman
