GTR3s biggest market will be console - the intention is to expand the market rather than produce a competitor for RR. S3 will be leaching from Simbin when RR moves to the Unreal engine and presumably can also leach the wet weather/dynamic track system too, as well as the improved physics. Maybe it will even allow RR to be sold on console.
hm, leaching sounds so negative ^^ But basically it seems to be like that. If I get it right, GTR3 should be a classic standalone Multiplattform-game, while Raceroom stays the way it is with its contiuous development-path. Raceroom will adapt the technologie from GTR3 so that in future both studios are working together on it. Raceroom will expand the eSports and Multiplayer-Plattform. Maybe Raceroom will even held eSports-Events with its offline-plattform that are initiated by GTR3. A Raceroom-Version for console will not happen due to it's online-Structure that will not be compatible with PSN or Xbox-Live - IMO it was already confirmed.

This is the only reliable info we have so far and there's not a single word about WEC. So it still remains unknown what the content of GT3R will be. But we will know soon.
I still think, that the Tweet from Catalystos was not planed like that and that an official Announcement together with FIA/ACO/Eurosport or what ever it will be, is still to come.
