HI FRIENDS. TODAY I HAVE ENCOUNTERED SOME "PILOTS" WHO HAVE DEDICATED TO BEAT WITH OTHER RUNNERS DURING THE BEGINNING OF THE RACE DELIVERATELY, BESIDES THAT JUST IN MY CASE WHEN I COME TO END THE RACE THE QEU HAS BEEN DEDICATED WITH MY DELATE LOSE THE COLTROL OF THE CAR.

PLEASE CAN ANYONE TELL ME SOMETHING ABOUT IT IF ANYTHING CAN BE DONE?
I HAVE THE RECORDING OF THE RACE IN CASE IT IS NECESSARY.

    A GREETING.

if its a ranked server, you can report people, if not its a privately owned and run server youll have to track down the owners and complain to them

Bit pointless then how do I know you've not put it straight in the recycle bin? I should be told if if was a legit complaint or if I was moaning about nothing? Also needs to be an open and transparent system so the community get to know the dodgy drivers, maybe have the penalised and banned drivers shown on a discord channel maybe that way it will stop all the idiotic driving?

I agree, there should be more transparency in the system. Some will say that it is unfair to "out" possible troublemakers but on the other hand we should be able to see there is something being done. For Esports there is a penalty list.

I see it's pillory season once more. ^^
And what would be the point of putting someone who cannot access the game anymore on public display?

I understand where this sentiment comes from but publicly outing people isn't sth we want to do. We don't want and we don't want to encourage witch hunts.
People change, especially at a young age, which applies to many users. And I'd argue that this group is more likely to show inexperienced or immature behaviour but that doesn't mean they are bad to the bone. There's no justification for wrecking, period. But (almost) everyone deserves a second chance because, even though we tend to forget when socialising on the internet, even wreckers are human beings.
    Because we don't. :)

The game has no kick vote or DM chat so it´s not possible to hound individual players in game unless you count vigilante or revenge ramming, for instance. The worst that can happen is dedi server owners add them to their perma banned list, but it´s their server in the end so they decide who they want.

IIRC there are a range of penalties in place from time outs on ranked mutiplayer to complete perma game bans so it would be nice to see that represented and maybe help the players who consider reoffending know that they are not able to hide.

The ban list could even be refined to currently banned players or wiped after 2 months or whatever so past offenders are not forever tarnished.

I have the feeling a lot of people don´t bother (me included) reporting incidents as they feel nothing is being done.

What about "last month we issued X warnings, Y temporary bans and Z permanent bans"? No names, but shows that something is being done on a regular basis.

Huh? So, because good people do stupid things over and over (because that's what wreckers do) they shouldn't be punished because, well, they're good people and deserve a 6th chance? Makes perfect sense.

Just finished a rooky race at Spa WHAT A JOKE .the bottom half of the field did not qualify so they could smash there way thru . I tried to avoid the start crunch but was 9th with a time above 3min
WHO MONITORS THE RULES ? If you let someone past they just smash into not one but lota
Will one of the well known members just fob this off with the usual bull or will someone fix this ?

This is my experience in Raceroom:
I am the real novice to simrace, never tried before. I practiced in single player and then I tried the ranked servers with the NSU (low power, easy to drive) apart from the first races the others were a disaster, I was unable to finish the races and my ranking was always lowering more.
I want to clarify: I make mistakes too but not such as to be disqualified.
I tried to grow category (Lotus, Audi TT an BMW) difficult to drive but it was better until the opening of all free content.
It is frustrating to commit to making decent qualifying, be correct, but be afraid of the first corner or having someone behind and not knowing if he will use your car as a brake on the next corner.
But...the game is great and I hope this situation is resolved.
Last thing: I'm an old man and I just want to have fun in races.
    Happy races to all!

Could you kindly point out where exactly I said that wreckers shouldn't be punished and that they deserve a 6th chance?

Not a solution for the underlying problem, but maybe a usable workaround:
If you start at the back and then remain there until the carnage is over you can then chase the remaining well-behaved racers. Will not work for everyone, but might do the trick until the wreckers are gone after the free trial period..

Did you report the drivers who were wrecking intentionally?

I wouldn't want to see that. It would only make the developers look like they are gate keeping, instead of trying to promote better skills and sportsmanship. In a way, this is the same problem Forza 7 had. They banned heinous actors, but didn't make a public spectacle out of it. For the general public, they were introducing their regulation model. It had some effect. The rammers and potential car jackers stayed out of the regulated races, for the most part.

I rarely run multi-player, and when free week started, I just avoided all MP activity. Now that things appear to have settled down, I have to get back out there.

I see both sides. Over zealous punishment just fragments the player base even more so finally you will not have anyone to race with. Then there is the situation of not being able to use paid for content if you are banned. I am sure there is a clause deep down in the game T and Cs that covers this but is that going to encourage people to keep buying content?

On the other hand, there is a lack of transparency both regarding rules, punishments and their application, which has also been a criticism levelled at the FIA.

As mentioned, an anonymous stats page or even replies to the people who reported the offender would be a step towards better transparency especially when you consider the time taken to report someone, upload proof etc etc. I know it won´t ever happen as it is also extra workload for the admin team.
