1440p monitor

    hi everybody
    getting a new monitor dont have space for triples. was thinking benq 1080p 35 or asus 1440p 35 monitor ?
    is there much difference in quality regarding the resolution

    Depend how far you'll be seating from the monitor.
    If it's more than 1meter, 1080p vs 1440p will be no different.
    But at closer range 1440p will give you more crisp picture.

    But you'll need bigger GPU for it. So depends also what GPU you have (or will have in the near futur)

    hi thanks have an i7 7700k and gtx 1080 that should be ok?

    hell yeah ! you'll have plenty of raw power to drive such display ;)
    I use a 1070 for a 3440x1440 34" monitor, I can push almost everything to the roof in term of graphics

    what sort of frame rates do you get? and which monitor do you use?

    Monitor is a Acer X34
    Frame rate depends of the load, mostly I max out the refresh rate of the monitor (100Hz), but I might drop to 70FPS in some circonstance (Track like SPA, lot of IA on screen, etc ..), but thanks to Vsync it's not a issue at all :)
