When you are stopped on the track with the AI right against you they seem to just push forward no matter what. The ai should be able to reverse and go around. I was experimenting with the ai to see how it would react when I try to block it. The ai makes no attempt to avoid me. Instead it will just push me like its a train on a track.

If you spin out and try to get back on the track its very hard to get straight at times, because the ai seems to follow a preset path which it will not deviate from. Accident avoidance needs to be added. At the moment it will ram you if you are in its way.

I drive and brake much faster than the ai, I have no problem beating it beating it by 3 to 6 seconds. I started messing with it because of so many complaints about A.I. to see what others were talking about. Many were claiming it is like the ai is glued to the road. From what i can see it is somewhat true.

I did a race on Macau with the AI. I did a miserable job trying to pass at t2 and the 2 of us ended in a tangle. And I had the opposite experience. The AI I wrecked with did try to just push into the corner after the crash, I backed up gave him room and he backed up as well to get righted on the track. Meanwhile I could see in the track map the cars stopping (we were battling for p8) and stacking up behind us. And I remember feeling a bit surprised and concerned at the number of cars in my rear view mirror now trying to get around me once we were moving again.

I know the AI are slightly different from track to track as well as class to class. I.E. The dtm and wtcc seem more aggressive than the adac for example.

And yes if your on the side trying to get back on track, then no, they don't try to avoid you. Just like in real life racing, you have to wait for a break in the traffic to get back on track. At least that's been my experience.
