Audi 90 GTO seems broken IMHO: Ever since the Update, it now has sudden lift-off oversteer that is impossible to correct (I've spent a long time in Car Setup trying to fix it) and I think it's because they're not modeling the differentials correctly. Did the real car really run an open rear diff? And Devs: Why don't you work on triple screen and VR support, and leave alone the parts of the sim that already worked (like the Audi GTO, for instance)? Everything was great prior to the Update - now I've got to go through and figure out what still works, what got broken, and what (seemingly small) improvements were made. Just *please* don't break the FFB again. Every update to this sim scares me.
https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...eroom-has-been-updated.6594/page-4#post-95964 And yes, many series back then enforced the use off full locked diffs. They didn't change the car (diff settings were the same before the patch), they changed sth else that broke all the 4WD cars and by fixing that somehow the GTO Audi broke.
I said: "Did the real car really run an *open* rear diff"? That's exactly the opposite of a *locked* diff. I know they had locked diffs on a lot of the RWD GTO cars (which this is not). Hopefully they fix it. The car went from great fun to drive, to being basically uncontrollable. It's as if you're activating the handbrake every time you lift the throttle.
What the... How did that happen? We specifically had a look at it after they fixed the 4WD issue and I'm sure it wasn't like that before going to live...But yeah, getting the same here in live now, completely open diff., no wonder it drives like that. Thanks for pointing this out.
Earliest report, I believe: https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...eroom-has-been-updated.6594/page-2#post-95196
Yes, but that was fixed, it affected all 4WD cars. This now...appears that somehow by fixing the 4WD thing the diff setting of the GTO got inversed.
Sh1t happens, yet sh1t is still not fixed ?! Sounded like it's a very very simple one. ETA dec (2016) patch ?
Why ya'll driving the car that didn't win anyways? Mustang power, vroom vroom! (Hope it gets fixed soon.)
Bump. Seems like this simple diff setting mistake could be fixed in about 30 seconds with a hex editor. Just make the rear diff adjustable and I'll do it myself
