Question Can't save controller profile

I have tried several times to set a controller profile (CSW V2,BMW RIM, MPP) with FFB settings as well and renamed. I use it in game all good. Once I exit out of game and re-open thru Steam desk top icon or not thru Steam and directly from RRE desktop icon all my controller settings are gone as well as controller profile name that I created. The games local files are good. All my other sims, Project Cars ,Assetto Corsa and Iracing have the controller profiles saved. This is the only sim that giving me issues . Please help.

Looks inside if your control set is in it.

 

Ok. Do I do this once I make a profile in game than exit out to see if it's saved? Or check before I open game.

okay, once I do that and I check the file after I exit from game If profile is not in the file what should I do then.

 

Is the profile in that folder? If yes look in the wheel menu in the tap control sets, should be there.

 

Ok, made a profile with name used in game for a few laps . I then exited game back to my desktop opened controller file and it was empty.

 

Right. Which version of Windows are you using?

Sounds like the game can't permanently write to your documents folder, so you should make sure you're not using a restricted Windows account (like a guest account) and also try to run RRRE.exe in admin mode (find the exe in your steam installation folder, right click and set the tick at the bottom of the compatibility tab).
After doing that re-boot your system and see if that helps. If it doesn't, report back, we'll get it working.

You can either check (and if needed change) your account's permission status or try this on the Simbin folder in ...documents\my games...:

Additionally try running the game in admin mode (like I described above).
Again, make sure to re-boot after making those changes.

 

Went into steam exe set open as admin. Rebooted pc , opened game set new control profile and labeled . I exited game went into control file and it was saved. Opened game and control settings saved . Thank you for the great help and response.
