Since you are now able to save and load your Car Setups, we created a dedicated Forum section where you can share and download your Setup files.

You can find your Car Setup files on your hard drive, by browsing to the specific track folder in

    "My Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\CarSetups"
Please mention the Car Model in the thread name, so its easier to find what you are looking for.
Adding information about the nature of the setup (base, hotlap) and laptime can also be helpful.

    Enjoy!

Great idea, all just down to how giving people are I guess the thing is we all drive differently and want the car to act in a way to accommodate that style (be it good or bad practice) but there will definitely be settings that will trend and a pattern will form, which, I guess; should assist in a reasonable base set up, find it a lot easier just to do it myself and I don't know diddly s**t about setting a race car up but what I do know is what is right for me. Fortunately once you get a good base setting for rear wheel drive then generally it will work for most RWD cars (as a base that is), same with FWD, get a good base then just fine tune, not rocket science, something you do as you learn a new track.
Top hole though for continuing to roll out new, useful content, now go unlock the R18! Please! :)

Great , thanks for this as I need help. If possible a brief explanation on why certain changes are done so I ( we ) can learn as we go.

A game already on steam, needs steam workshop for the easiest way to do this. sorted by car, or tracks, or both. Imagine how easy it would be... at least for the players. Maybe not for the coders. :D

I believe they are created when you save a setup

I have just downloaded a custom car setup for the first time. I dropped it into the carsetup folder and started a game. Upon loading the setup just before a race, there is nothing there. Am I doing something wrong?

They have to be in subfolders for each track/layout. Easiest way to have them named correctly: Save a custom setup on the track you want to use. This will create the subfolders. Then all you need to do is copy the setup you want to that subfolder.
