Hello everybody, I would like to know if in the future will be possible to change some options (like difficulty, flags, number of laps, ecc) during a started offline championship. Thank you for replies
AfaIk so far there has not been any talk about adding the ability to change the settings in a running championship. If you could change the settings midway through, wouldn't that defeat the point? Results of the individual races wouldn't really be comparable anymore.
As long as there are noticeable differences in AI abilities on different tracks it doesn't seem to be unjustifiably. Edit: could be abilities of me as well.
It is an offline championship, so I am my only competitor... Sometimes I start a championship and realize that the difficulty is too low or high, or I want to increase the length of the race. Now I am forced to delete the championship and start again. This feature is present in other sims like AC, so I think it is not so strange....
So we have to run 2 or 3 times on the same track to set a good AI skill....... It is not easier to make championships editable?
Pretty sure it's not a big deal from a technical point of view, after all, the championship settings are just some values stored in the championship files. My guess would be that menu implementation is the bottleneck once again, they'd have to create a new interface which would allow you to make those changes in-game. Seems like there are differing views on how important such an option would be. From my pov it's not that urgent tbh, there's other UI stuff that's in greater need of improvement. In theory you should already be able to make such changes by editing the championship_data.xml files, they aren't encrypted. But you'd have to know or find out what values to change in order to achieve what you want.
You can also just not use the championship, but combine results of individual events https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...hip-tool-sp-mp-races-creates-html-reports.79/
