Server can't hold you, you're faster than the light.
Yes, we are aware. During a test run, the new server was doing fine but it seems like there are reoccuring problems and the issues have to be solved by the developers. A final decision on the race will be made on wednesday.
The race will happen tomorrow!
(Also there is new competition with Porsche Cup! Join join!)
With fresh servers and a patched game, we will run the Season opener in full length today! Three races at Spa-Francorchamps in the new GT3 cars, starting 18:15 GMT (19:15 EU). Streamlink: https://www.twitch.tv/raceroomracingexperience
Server is up, we will go live in a few minutes: https://www.twitch.tv/raceroomracingexperience
Nice race today at Spa with the GT3 cars
Server worked stable for me, no lags or anything.
But one small point: i don't like drivers that switch lanes during breaking (Stream @41.30 min)
edit: and I don't like the slowdowns
In my opinion they are not in comparison with the time gained by cutting..
A shame, no fair play, drivers worthy of Mario Kart
Nice race guys. Could someone tell me where to see the results?
I guess nobody likes penaltys - especially when you get it while avoiding an accident. But in the current state they are quite ok IMO. If you get the penalty and lift the throttle for a moment as soon as you get the penalty, you can serve the penalty slowly without losing to much. If you don't serve the penalty in time it can get quite harsh when you can't accelerate...
Thx for racing everyone! Good to see the new server settings work. Still some work to do here though since the broadcast had a bit of lag but I feel confident now that we will sort it all out. Please keep feedback coming about flag rules and slowdowns.
thanks again for the race. A few raers flickered in and out a few times but for the most part it was stable for me. Sorry for the incident in first race, i actually broke much earlier than i usually do but was surprised by the slow braking ahead of me. My fault.
Here are my races
Stream replay here btw:
Hey Andre, nice to meet again.
You weren't behind me, you were beside me and I took the best position I could without hitting you,(and I came close so we can chit chat ).
Anyway if I'm not mistaken it's a common move in real racing.
Thanks for hosting the event.
Sorry for the incident (to P.Gros) in the second race in first lap on Les Combes. Was not predictable, because you moved from outside to inside after the apex.
Overall, it went better than expected for me with the Porsche - i was more than one second slower as in the Corvette.
Most shocking moment was the party after the Eau Rouge: https://clips.twitch.tv/DiligentEmpathicAdminMau5
No appreciable issues.
Only one driver (R. Dedou) disappers for me, but his ping was ok - see: https://clips.twitch.tv/TangibleAnnoyingHamburgerRickroll
You didn't hit me because I avioded the crash by going as far as possible on the kerb
And it's not allowed to change the racing line during breaking!
