Not sure if this has been posted before? The DTM1992 series #33 Ford Mustang GT has two different numbers. The door shows #33 but the rear wing displays #22. Does that mean I have two chances of winning while driving that car?
Very good question. In 1990, 1992 and 1993 he was starting with #33, in 1994 he got #22. But I doubt it to be that, they would have had to put it on door as well...let's see if we can find that out.
Don't suppose 22's his lucky number and he had to wait 3 years for the geezer already running it to leave series, motor racers are extremely superstitious chaps/lasses, who tend to run the same number through their entire career, via an homage if the number is unavailable?
That's interesting. 10 on the door and its still a 22 on the wing. Must have some significance other than the racing number. Hmmmm, what could it be?
Clearly this was wing #22 of a 25 piece set. The previous 21 wings were damaged or lost due to shunts/off-track excursions/wing bandits.
It is definitely the one last driven by Gerd Ruch in 1994, who then had starter number 22: That #10 on the door....I thought maybe it's just simply from a later classics revival event or something like that...
Yes, they came as part of a bundle that also included an 8ball gear shift knob and three sets of fuzzy dice.
