After I started getting crashes way more often than before, I noticed several other people whose crash dumps look suspiciously similar to mine. So I decided to gather them all here to make it easier for the devs to investigate what's happening. Maybe it's related to wheels/pedals because 1) all crash dumps have these lines (numbers are different depending on Windows version): pid!PID_EffectOperation+0x52 pid!PID_DestroyEffect+0x62 pid!PID_DownloadEffect+0x63c dinput8!CEShep_DownloadEffect+0xa5 dinput8!CDIEff_DownloadWorker_+0x77 dinput8!CDIEff_SetParameters+0x119 dinput8!CDIDev_CreateEffect+0xf0 2) one of the guys couldn't replicate crashes when using keyboard only. Wheels and pedals in question are Moza (R5, R9, SR-P, SR-P lite) and Simagic (Alpha Mini, S2000). Here are zip archives with crash dumps and all related information that I could find (PC specs, driving hardware, when and how crashes happen). Names of the drivers are also included. I also had a couple crashes in the last months in the middle of the quali / race against ai. The recent one from 2 days ago is added here. Moza R9, Fanatec pedals, 5800x3d, 2070 super, newest drivers, win10
Very interesting. The crash dump looks similar too. 1) Did it happen out of the blue when you were driving or did you press/click something? 2) Do you have MWtransport and Game logs from that session?
Updated Maskerader(forum)-win10.zip in the opening post, it now has info about another crash (dump, logs, description). What happened this time: So OtterHUD or webhuds in general have nothing to do with my crashes, most likely. It's something else.
no. My crashes were 10-20 minutes into the session. So it seems a bit different to you. As I play in vr, I do not have anything else like Otterhud. I have only crewchief in the background.
Was this checked by anyone yet? It gets more and more annoying. Crashed today at the start of a multiplayer race.
