I have a pretty terrible PC

    FX6300
    2 x HD685 in crossfire
    16 gig DDR3

All my other sims have some sort of crossfire support, and work really well on the whole.
Iracing even has graphics options to select the number of GPU's.
I can run most sims on medium graphics at decent frame rates.

I know the answer to resolve my issue ultimately is to get a single much better graphics card, but Raceroom is the only one that is unplayable with crossfire.
The menu flickering is awful, and the mirrors don't work. Shadows flicker very badly and the micro stutters make racing impossible. That said, there is a decent improvement in frame rate while using crossfire, so I'm not giving up yet!

Are there any plans to solve this? Iracing had exactly the same problems albeit on DX11, with rendering problems and flickering textures/shadows, but this has been resolved a patch or 2 ago, so it can't be all that hard to sort?

There are some plans to integrate SLI. Not sure if that will add Crossfire-Support, too. So maybe there is a chance that we'll see crossfire-support in a few month, but there is nothing concrete at the moment.
