The server felt fantastic and responsive. I did not see anyone bouncing around

 

Can confirm on my side (watching the broadcast). I didn't see a single car warping/glitching/exploding/activating the stealth mode decoy.

That was great. I didn't see anything "strange" from any other cars. All looked as smooth as silk even when being lapped. I would like to say that I was allowing myself to be lapped to see if anything was going wrong - but that would be a fib, I am just slow

Seriously though it does get a bit wearing bumbling around at the back of the field. Please don't get me wrong I enjoy the racing and you guys are all great I just wish there were a few more OSG's in the races.

I guess you have to figure out why you are slower?

I know over the last two series I have improved a lot and I still blow, lol. A few things for me have helped - Braking, some gas in the early to middle corner, and turning my wheel more(yes I am being serious)

I find braking(not skidding) then slowly adding a little gas through the corners really adds speed and helps cornering. I left foot brake. I use to try and come into the corners too hot, now I really focus on getting on the gas early, especially for the long straights. Lastly I wasn't turning my wheel enough at times, specifically when it involved more than 90 degrees. I had some mental block...and still do. This helped me get the apex on some turns.


I heard you talking about set-ups but I wouldn't worry TOO much about them until you get some better lap times. BUT in saying that a few things in the set-ups can help and are easy. Lower the power on the differential. It will help you get on the gas earlier without spinning...in a non-technical turn.

Also figure out how much brake % you can use for a car? I usually go up to 96 or 97 from 95.

I wouldn't worry about the balance too much at first.

No idea if that will help.

Don't stress Paul, Im an OSG and Im sure we'll battle each other heaps during the series, Im not fast by any stretch of the tarmac looking forward to swapping paint with ya
I'm actually in the middle of reassembling my rig after doing some house renovations, should be up and running later this arvo, been trying to get it setup for a week, finally found some time to get it done .

If any one is keen to run some practice laps on the server during the week, Im in, just PM me or post it in the ESR thread.
@::SKRO:: ,@MeMotS is there going to be any official server practice days for the series races, I find it best to build setups online, offline setups don't seem the same when running them online, or is it just me?

 

Other than some high pings and slight warping at the start (which was probably more to do with my connection than the server), there didn't appear to be any huge problems with the server - usually I'd get the low ping glitch or not be able to see anyone else on the track.

 

Do you recall your ping before entering the server by any chance?

 

I was backthere with you Paul. Not sure wht we are so out claased lol. When Im racing I feel like im hauling butt but then I get lapped Tried catching up with @Sean Kenney but silly errors stopped that from happening in both races. Sever performed well.
