This is a very minor gripe, but...

I notice the LSD-DOORS.com banner on many tracks and it (foolishly) bothers me. I mean, you designers put so much effort into nailing all the little details, but then I see the same advertisement across many tracks. I was watching a iRacing video overlaid against real footage and it was really cool to see how each banner ad was the same as on the real track. I like that; it adds immersion. Is LSD-DOORS.com there because they are a sponsor buying that space or something?

Again, I'm nitpicking here, but figured why not ask.

LSD-Doors is there, along with numerous other brands, in part because... KW Suspensions owns each of them. And KW Suspensions owns RaceRoom, so they advertise for their parts this way.

Branding tie ins and cross promotion. Just search the googles and you will see. Belltech, LSD Doors, and another one or two. You should also see some of those brands as liveries on various cars to expand the grid variety as well.

Personally, I like it better than other games that do nothing but plaster their games name on the tracks banners... in the game itself  Since these are actual brands and each offer different products. I suppose these brands are most common in Germany though, where KW is based.

Ah, good to know, thanks nate. I agree, I hate when I see the name of the game on the track as thats a total immersion killer.

I agree, I think the way the on-track "advertising" is done in Raceroom is actually done quite well

While we're on the subject of inconsequential trackside elements, I have a different question. I thought turning off trackside animations gets the flag wavers to disappear, but they remain. Same petty nuance to me, I love many of the unique trackside items (Nordschleife 24 hour setup naturally being the pinnacle), but don't like seeing the same flag waving animation at many tracks. Is there a way to turn this animation off?

BTW, the fact that this is what we're discussing right now just goes to show how absolutely awesome the GT3 physics are with my Accuforce. Couldn't be happier!

Is there a way to turn off the people in the crows waving flags back and forth?

I realise they are an innocent casualty of history but the first time I saw the black flags I immediately thought 'ISIS'.

Turn off "Track animations" in the graphics options.

Yeah man, you'll see levitating cones, purple horses in the GT3 class and way off in the distance, always just out of reach, lots of shiny things, far out!! o_O

Of I could disable the "new session best" and "drs activated" messages it would be awesome. I hate any hud elements, those are the immersion killers for me...

You can turn of "in-game overlays" in the graphics options to disable those sort of messages.
