Was wondering if there are any plans to put in a fps limiter into the game so we can set the max frame rate we would like to run, same as what AC & iracing have, can make such a difference on the GPU temps, I normally cap mine at 85fps in AC/iracing which gives me a 10°c drop in temp on the GPU.

As a workaround, you can cap the fps using nvidia inspector. In the tool you have to link the profile to the game's exe and set your desired fps, then it should work.

Indeed, it work with Nvidia inspector.
I use it to caps the FPS to the max refresh rate of my screen (G-sync inside).

But a little option in game would be nice ;)

yepp - i've done that in the Driver-Setting and works good since than. I've done it in the global settings so I have no need to configure it for every game. I set the limiter to 61fps.

Does that reduce input lag compared to vsync 60fps? This is how I cap all my games, but a little less input lag would be great...

You don't have input lag with FPS limit as with Vsync ;)

Because there's no "sync" between GPU and screen.

Often you'll neef to set the limite to 58 or 62 to match the refresh rate of the screen, if it's a 60Hz screen.
Mine is G-sync with 100Hx max, I set the limit to 97FPS, otherwise FPS may go above and create tearing.

Yes, I know, in theory, how it works. But disabling vsync always gave me some noticable and distracting tearing. If I can avoid that and reduce input lag, that would be great. I tested 58 fps and this felt like stuttering, so I will try 59 to 62 and see what happens.

I'm playing on a 60hz-screen and the tearing was the reason I've set it to 61fps. I've disabled vsync and than played a bit with the fps-Limiter. With 61fps I had the best results and I would say the same behavior like with vsync activated.

    Nobody (exept S3S) knows ;)

I guess we'll see a change-log as soon the Update is finished...

In most games I have to either enable v-sync (60Hz) or limit FPS to 120+, otherwise the game micro-stutters and is very hard to play consistently. I rather have a little input lag (which I can adapt to) than constant stutter.

I have to thank you very much for this kind of magic. I set the limiter to about 60,7 fps (nvinspector gives this instead of 61) and now I have abolutely no tearing and no input lag. The game feels much more direct now, more enjoyable. Maybe I can become competitive some day. :)
