i don't know why but after the last big update i get frame skipping from time to time which ist killing the immersion a lot :( . I tried to lower gfx settings but not much of a win so far. ( on latest nvidia driver 364.32)
raceroom was really running good before....
    I am on a gtx780-3GB , 8gb ram, i5 4690k and a monitor running 1920x1080@144Hz...
i set my races at 15cars max so not "the big challenge"

do you experience anything similar ?
btw i use a fanatec gt2 and clubsportpedals and a clubsport shifter
    thank you !

no, I get it on every track :(
game runs well and then there is a framskip, even if i do hotlapping :(
i read there was something changed with wheel forcefeedback ...
i will disconnect the wheel and do some laps with an xbox controller.
if the hickups are gone it is the new wheeloptions.
    i will report back

i have contacted armin @ fanatec to ask for a solution .
anyone here with fanatec wheel experiencing the same ?
the game runs super smooth when you turn off FF , try it.
but driving without FF is no option, i know......

Do you have the FFB meter activated while experiencing this or just by activating FFB itself?
If you capture videos, could you try it and see if the issue is visible in a vid?
I know at least one person who also owns a Fanatec wheel but I haven't read something similar till now.
But I'll make a little note for the devs so they have a look at this.

it does not matter if the FF Meter is activated or not
it is hardly noticable in a video :(
lowering or raising the FF intensity in game does not change a thing
only turning off solves it for me

btw the ff meter shows my line at the very top a lot ( over the red line)
but this just means ff clipping and should not produce a framskip.... right ?

Does this happen mostly when you attack curbs with higher speeds? Because i have same problem on my DFGT. (i3-370M, 4GB DDR3, Radeon 5470)

What's more interesting I also experienced this in Automobilista and it was related to increased refresh rate on Force Feedback (from 180Hz to 360Hz), which some configurations doesn't seem to handle. But there are ways to lower refresh rate to original 180Hz and it eliminates this problem completly.

So maybe S3S also increased FFB refresh rate?

Isnt FFB rate connected to frame rate and has historically caused problems? I remember reading a guide to do with race07 and FFB not long back, im sure it was a guide or something linked to by msportdan, there were recommended settings to do with FFB update rates relative to and trying to improve frames rates or to not have a negative impact on, its vague and i cant remember the thread it was linked from but there is info regarding it. Google may give you a clue or help!

Or it could be my current lightheadedness is affecting my ability to think str8 and that is absolute bollox, naaah google is always helpful ;)

Shame were not playing noughts n crosses or tic tac toe cause i would of won.

i can say attacking curbs at high speed can provoke a frameskip caused by FF
but it is difficult to pin it down to certain action, because often it seems to be totally random.
turning off FF in my case gives an over all "smoothness boost" to felt framerate.

when i am back from work i will try to set the refresh rate to 60hz and check if it has an influence on FF

    thanks for the input

ok so @ 60hz it seems to be better but not totally gone
so it does make a little difference at least i fancy that
maybe a dev can explain if the Hz have influence on the way FF frequency works

btw i found out that without FF i can run the game at everthing cranked up to high on everything and it runs super smooth
so FF kills the performace of the game at the moment for me :(
