I was in game and clicked on the portal and store and noticed i have a friends request, im made up, i as gots a fwend :)
Seriously, if the request is made thru the portal there is no indicator in game or in the forum unless you specifically go to either how about an ingame or forum notification, i might go weeks without looking at the portal or store and the guy im racing with would just think im being an ignorant git!

And to add to this, privacy and things, can we have a little privacy, i dont want the world to know i just bought this car or track or whatever, i just noticed when i accepted a request. Would be nice to have a little control over what anyone sees in my player profile, maybe im missing it, if so please point it out.

    BECAUSE ITS MY BUSINESS!!!
Privacy, private, its my business what i spend my money on and where and when, i wouldnt want the other half saving for a house while im frittering it away on games n shit, she only has to open the browser to see where i wasted my little spending money!
Many many reasons, in this day and age, privacy, especially online privacy are paramount and to me these little bits of information shouldnt and dont need to be out there at all for all to see.

It's all bought in vRP's, just say you are really fast and won it all. (might want to hide that account/transaction button though..) ;)

    Bump.
Guys, Christian, Devs whoever, any chance of a little privacy.
Its not a big job, i dont care people seeing what i own, its day\date of purchase i want hidden.
You only need a shifty little fucker to spot a purchase pattern a little sniffing ensues little shifty guy soon has too much information.

I looked at someones profile the other day, they only buy on payday (payday is an assumption, regular 7 day purchase pattern), a car and skin or 2, you know script kiddies growing up in this digital age too easy, especially if said purchaser is a little careless with his\her security.
Its a simple switch, surely, show or hide, hide!!!

I`ll keep bumping it till enough people agree or the devs change it, i dont care how silly you think i am, paranoid, whatever.

When that first person complains of having his paypal account hacked or their visa used online and the only place thay have used either is raceroom.

    I told you so!!

I guess the assumption was/is that you'd only add friends to that friends list, as in people who you'd be ok with knowing this sort of things. You have to account for the game being made by some Swedish tree-huggers, those northern socialists publish everyones tax reports so this being an issue wouldn't even cross their minds. ;)

But I agree, having the options to determine what data is being shared would probably be a good idea.

This is the point, ANYONE can see anything i have purchased and when, search google for a username plenty of results.
Which kind of accounts for it, but all the same this day and digital age, privacy, online privacy, its priority no.1 no matter what or where!

There's no such thing as "online privacy".

Went to pc world today bought a new mouse mat, they didnt plaster the fact6 all over their storefront windows!
Bacon eggs n bread from Sainsbury, paid by card, they asked me if i`d like to advertise online that i had just made a purchase, i respectfully declined!
Could you imagine it, every purchase you make published online, if it wasnt a game and was something more expensive people would be up in arms about it!
Its the principle, dosnt matter if its £1 or £1000 it should be private until I (me, the royal we) say otherwise.

Edit - lol, bolding and underlining i dosnt really work ;)

The only time I've ever been the victim of credit card fraud was in Ikea, so go figure.

I guess they figured you had too much money and could afford to spread that wealth a little. :D
