Why not "FR1"??? ... would make more sense ... I am waiting for the "FR1 classic / FRX-67" ... ... tips for the own RaceRoom 3d model design (two very high detailed models):
Well, given the stuff Reiza went through with their 'definitely-not-F1-car', I would assume S3 is doing all they can to make sure any similarities are purely coincidental. And yes, the FRX-67 would be mind-numbingly awesome. Doubt it'll happen though.
I need this now if possible. I love the open wheelers in RaceRoom and with V-10s available, I have a feeling with all that sound that I'm going to have to move in with @Anthony Monteil because my wife will kick me out of the house for all the noise.
Get in first and elbow her on the grounds of being in the way of driving and constantly complaining about the noise!
Wow, simply wow! Hopefully soon available as in this or next week. Would love to give it a try and drive it at Monza!
Basically a 'what could have been' if F1 hadn't gone down the awful hybrid route. Looks and sounds great.
If only FIA wasn't that ignorant... As Niels Heusinkveld explaines in one of his last video's about F1 engines: in all the fuel consuming CO2 creation of the whole F1 circus... Even doubling the fuel consumption doesn't change a bit of the whole CO2 level of the circus. It's such a shame. But it is wat it is. And to see S3S creating something how we would like to see is just wonderful! The true wonders of simulation...
Quick question to S3, does the front wing flex as irl and will it fall off if I sneeze while driving? One from my neighbours, do they have time to put their house on the market before release?
2 things 1st-The new car looks and sounds amazing =D great job s3 (as usual) 2nd- it would make NO SENSE for FIA to keep pushing atmospheric v8's / v10's / v12's in f1. F1 is about pushing technology forward not keeping it back. the Vee millions with million horses are from the past. Small engines with turbos and hybrid systems are the future whether people like it or not. I honestly like the new engines, the v6 turbo hybrids. Yes they may not sound as good (though i would disagree, but i understand why) but from a engineering standpoint they are amazing. Also these are the first engines to have as objective 50% efficiency ... people don't understand how amazing this is !!! This is amazing technology that will benefit even road vehicles.
I'm not talking about pushing back. I'm talking about making the wrong decisions for the wrong reasons.
Actually, I would say LMP is a better class of race car to develop hybrid technology, which, of course, is exactly what it is doing. Formula One doesn't have a remit to push new technology for road cars. That's a myth. The majority of fans want the fastest, meanest, loudest cars to test the best drivers in the world and provide a spectacle like no other. Falling viewing figures for F1 is a reflection of the path the sport has taken.
I can't remember the last time I managed to sit through an entire F1 race - 2, 3 years ago? Haven't watched any of it this year. Too sanitised, too "PC", too staged. Not enough danger of death! And the commentators having orgasms when the eventual winner crosses the finish line in first, after having been in front all race....please! But R3E producing what should have been - that is refreshing.
behind this car i read a sector3 declaration of war: "ehi FIA give us back those damned V10 true engines" lol by the way, i'm excited more to hear it in my rig more than drive it. (considering the sound experience quality we usually have with raceroom)
This is first time I am gonna say this, but I actually like sound of V10 Formula more in other title - only slightly and only from cockpit but still. I think there should be a bit more wobble on upshifts. Outside sounds is still unmatched, like always. And I'm not sure if TC is that much needed if we consider amount of downforce and grip from tires, but will see how this is gonna work out. I was gonna complain about an amount of power, but they actually had over 900hp back then from 3.0L V10s. Crazy.
