I rolled into sim-racing more or less by accident, and I had never followed racing in any depth. But now that I have started to like racing I was curious how all these racing classes compare in speed. I took the lap times of Spa as a comparison. Most are from the leaderboards, but I added a few real life classes that are not in RaceRoom (TCR and F1) and took some real life times. 3:07 NSU TTS 2:38 TCR 2:32 FRJ 2:27 Audi TT 2:26 Silhouette 2:25 Touring Classics 2:21 WTCC 2:21 F4 2:17 Group 5 2:16 GTO 2:14 GTR3 2:13 GTR2 2:12 GTR1 2:12 F3 2:08 Hillclimb Icons 2:08 DTM 2:06 P2 2:04 GTRX 1:58 P1 1:55 FR2 1:45 F1 A few surprises for me: The times are actually relatively close, considering the huge difference in power and price I had expected the F4 Tatuus to be a bit faster, from the feeling in the car The Formule RaceRoom Junior is faster than I thought Now I am curious if someone could add some cost prices to these data, because I wonder what the price of speed is, and if some classes pay for status instead of speed? EDIT: I added the non-RaceRoom Formula 3, as this is an important class.
Leuke lijst Erik. Denk dat je wel verschuivingen gaat zien als je dit ook zou testen op bijvoorbeeld de Hungaroring Nice list Erik. I think that this looks different if you test it on a slow circuit. For example the Hungaroring
I really want to see in what places the WTCC has the advantage over the F4 car, and vice versa. Wich car would have the top-end speed, and wich one would be ballin' trough the corners? I think it'd create some crazy and awesome battles.
