The default view in car is way too low and i barely can see anything ahead besides the steering wheel?

...if we could map right / left keys also, as in Assetto Corsa, would be very welcome.

But you don't need to in RRE, all the cockpit views are centered nicely already.

I would argue that is subjective. The view may be centred enough for you, but I may prefer something different. Everyone has their own preference. ;)

Don't get it, you want a centered cockpit view? Do I understand that correctly?

What are you people talking about? :D
Joking, didn't know it was possible in Race. So it is about a centered in-car view?

Potentially yes. The ability to "move sideways in your seat" is available in Assetto Corsa (and probably other sims too) and something that I find quite useful at times. The ability to move across an inch or two can sometimes be the difference between seeing past the A pillar to the corner apex and going in blind. It is not a showstopper for me, but it would be nice to have.

Mkay, mkay, sounds reasonable and doable. We're moving the camera already when adjusting the seat, so why not...

I really miss the option to tilt the camera [down].
In real life not everyone is looking across horizontally.
And also because there is a technical limitation in a game (with the monitor cropping everything around) the steering wheel is not visible - I need to see it to have a much better sense of 3D and position in the 3D world. It gives a way better realism / immersion to me. And simply moving the view down won't help either, because I like that height.
