Hi guys, On my new monitor, I try to set the Fov right. I saw something online that told me for every game and for this one, it says: 0,5 X Uhh, in the options I can only set the distance, how big of a monitor and so on and (presumably) the game sets it just right. However; it looks weird still. In options, I can't select a widescreenmonitor either and so I think it will calculate with a normal size/ratio? How can I overcome this?
The game now has a built-in FOV calculator, you don't need an external one anymore. Adjust it to make it more comfortable for your eyes.
Looks weird in what way? Does it look squashed, stretched, or too close? Make sure you have the correct aspect ratio selected for your new monitor (16:9, 21:9, etc.), and if it's not available in the options, you may need to download a driver for the monitor. If you have the correct aspect ratio, then the FOV setup screen should make things look correct.
Thanks for the reply's guys! It looks weird in a way I can't put my finger on; it IS very close, but then I adjust the seat to the back. There is a limit to that before you start to see the seat itself; you are still very close at that point. There is no "aspect ratio" choice in the options for fov, is that correct? I will look into my monitor drivers, thought I had them installed......
Sounds like this FOV is too narrow for you. Make it wider and see if you like it more. FOV is a matter of personal preferences.
