Problem Incorrect race results

As per the title: I win a race, then the results come up and I've miraculously teleported down to 7th, or 12th, or last, or whatever.
Is this a known issue?

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. This is against ai in a championship.

 

There are penalties in single player too. Are you sure you didn't get any? Penalties for offtrack, missing mandatory pitstop, overtaking under yellow, for example.

No, skipping qualifying shouldn't be a problem.
