Based on the Discussion in the GTR3-Release-Topic I want to ask the Community if the Ford GT3 is a bit to fast in comparison to the other cars in GTR3-Class
I'm as horrible with the Ford GT3 as i'm with any other car in the simworld, therefor I don't feel a difference
I think we need to change this to which gt3 cars are under powerd? if we get ballast configurable by a json file i can (try to) write a app that automatically bops cars with more race wins. perhaps someone more qualified than me would find it easier.
In the gtr3 at Bathurst competition The top 50 is all Nissan gtrs and ford gts I got the fastest time in the Mclaren but it's still 4.7 seconds off the fastest
After trying hard in the Corvette at Bathurst ( I am crap), I switched to the Ford and took a second off with a very ragged stint. Switched to the Nissan and in another shaky set of laps took another second off. I actually prefer the Corvette, but once I got a handle on the Nissan, it was easy to get better lap times.
I've never driven the ford gt But the Nissan feels quite understeery compared to the Mclaren which feels like a god going down
Bathurst is an incredibly poor track to judge cars against one another on. Just in the Bathurst 12 hour last weekend the Audi was a full second faster than any other car across the top of the mountain, but slower around the bottom. In comparison the Nissan GT-R was a beast coming off the mountain and starting back up it, as it usually is. If you really want to compare the cars to one another, do it across a variety of tracks with an incredibly consistent driver across a large number of laps.
Personally I think the poll should be "Does the BOP in GTR3 class need addressing?" The Ford currently has an advantage of between 0.5 seconds and 1.5 per seconds per lap depending on track. It is more a matter of how the Ford gets the power down and its easy handling as well as the ultimate top speed. The other cars with good top speed especially the Nissan are harder to drive consistently quick and are less forgiving than the Ford. The Audi on the other hand struggles everywhere. In RL it struggles on quicker tracks like Spa but is stronger on tighter tracks. It is in need of some BOP help to reflect this imo.
For you. I don't mean to confront you personally, but all of this is so subjective, depending on personal preference, skill, effort etc. I just fear that this discussion won't stop until all cars drive exactly the same and perform exactly the same, which would make having all those car models somewhat pointless.
