Hello to everyone! I am fairly new to the game ,and forum. This is my first thread ,so if I am posting in the wrong section feel free to correct me. That being said, I got my first "kick in the spleen from the game! I am aware that these things hapen from time to time , but still it feels a bit over the top. Last night I joined the rookie server race , Silouette series, Suzuka. Qualified 4 and proceeded to the starting grid. 20 seconds from the race start, rest of the cars vanish from the grid. I was alone on the grid and when the race "started" (timer reached zero) I got kicked to the lobby. Subsequently , I lost 40+ rating , and 8+ reputation. The only thing left to do is to roll up the sleaves and grind it back. That happen to me a couple times (at start and during race) as well, but i always thought it was my Internet connection. Now I´m curious if its maybe not my internet connection, because I got kicked out one time and got a notification "ping too high" or something like that. But if this happens I get no Notification at all.
Honestly I am not sure if it was on my end or on the server. In the incident overview section I see a 3 points for disconecting. But it does not say who droped the connection. It happend before too , but on quali to race transition .( pressing the continiue button kicks you to the lobby) This was a first for me. So it can happen even during the race? Anyways , it is what it is .. I just hope that with enough info collected devs can get to the bottom of this.
So..last night I had a similar thing happen. Only this time it was during the race. At the start of the back straight (Suzuka, silouette series) 4 cars that were about a second in front of me wanish. And they came back at the end of the back straight. Rest of the race was normal. And no disconect penalty.
yeah that happens to me to too sometime. If they are vanished for a longer time you can be pretty sure you will get kicked out. The final sign that shows me "that´s it, im out", is when i am not in my cockpit view anymore.
I tought that I am out of the race for sure.. Luckily ...it connected again. I was just starting to recover a bit from the last disconection . My rep is fine ,but rating is a bit harder to grind back. At least on the rookie servers. It is quite hard to have a clean race there.
Had another disconnect , this time it happend as RedMajestic described. Mid race , and just before i got kicked out , cockpit view swiched to hood . This time it was a bit easier on the rep /rating, but still I would like to know what is going on. @Andi Goodwin here are the log files of the two races when the disconnect occured. If you get a cockpit view /disco that is your connection dropping to the server Can you give your full details what connection you have , is it cabled does it have wifi elements Andi
@Andi Goodwin Hi! Don't know what other details you need? But I have a cable connection , and no other devices/users on wifi or lan. Speed should be around 50+ mbps down, and 10/15 mbps up.
