I usually setup the car by doing laps in leaderboard challenge. When driving WTCC 2013, WTCC 2014 or Touring Classics at Lacuna Seca i end up with with "246 leaderboard connection error". None of my lap times has been saved on Lacuna Seca for half a year or so, looks like i have the same issue.

Sorry, I ve found a solution but I have forgotten for this topic until now . Do not choose car from the serie (WTCC, ADAC, DTM, G5 ...), but take it solo. My poor English, but I will try to explain. For instance, if Cruze gives you an error, do not chose it from all WTCC2014 cars, set just Cruze car and go drive it on track, I am sure, error will disappear and next time you can take Cruze from WTCC2014 serie and car will not give you any error. Well, I just hope you understand me .
Have this registration problem in the current run for the virtual championship. Once I saw this 246 error popping up and it's being looked at this issue at the moment. Maybe this will also solve your issue here.
