Am I the only one getting a ~10 fps hit using cockpit, bonnet or bumper cam? When I change to chase cam the fps immediately jumps up. I don't understand why bonnet/bumper view would take a toll on the fps. Or is it just me?

Cockpit will use more GPU resources because it has more to render, bonnet should be slightly less but I use bumper cam and usually get the best fps on that view so I don't know why you'd be getting less on that one.
For me, chase cam is as bad or worse than cockpit... it's all very peculiar :D

Yeah, I understand why cockpit view would result in frame drops, but it doesn't make sense why I'd get lower frame rate in bonnet view. Gotta experiment with them graphics settings.

From what I've noticed, car reflections take a huge toll if you're using bonnet view. I have mine at the lowest possible. Same goes for car detail, though I can't stand the pixelisation in medium, so I kept it at high and reduced other stuff.

If I observed right the rear mirror res has changed since last update. Don't know if that causes such a high drop, but could until some further optimization - at least for cockpit view - in GTR2 you had the option to lower rearview particles via playerfile...
