Another thing I forgot to ask is about the wheel rotation setting in the logitech gaming software. Is that suppised to physically stop the wheel rotating further than its set to or does it just stop the wheel from detecting input.

Example... i have it set to 360 degrees i can still rotate the wheel more than 180 degrees in each direction.

Wheel rotation setting can be overwritten by the game if you set the global options in the profiler correspondingly. If set to overwriteable, the game must support it to apply the steering wheel lock to the wheels SDK - with Logitech this is definitely possible. So RRRE applies the steering wheel lock from the current car's ingame setup to your physical wheel (AC does this, too; TheCrew for example does not, that's why I am using a separate profile for TheCrew with 540° and lock the settings so that the game can not change them, or else you are driving with 180-200° in TheCrew)

I am unable to edit (don't know why), and forgot this little word "not" in the long FFB explanation. If you manage to put your hand through your wheel when running step log 2 test from Wheel Check this hurts...

and it now has the mighty 2CV!

I actually have a soft spot for the 2CV, as it was our wedding car (with uniformed driver!), it even had a Tricolour paint scheme. My wife is French you see...

So theres no 'edit' option? For me it appears right at the bottom of my posts next to 'delete' and 'report'. Are you viewing the forum on a PC or mobile device?

I don't have a 'global profile' in the Logitech gaming software. Just a default profile. I can set the default profile as a 'persistent profile' though so I assume thats basically the same as global.

But even with the default profile set as the persistant profile and the rotation within that set to 360 degrees I can still turn the wheel the full 900 degrees (450 degrees to the left and 450 degrees to the right). With it set to 360 degrees it should only turn 180 degrees in either direction.

Arrrrrgh!! Just tried my wheel on F1 2017... same problem as in FM7. But in Project cars 2 its perfect just like in RRRE.

I have 2 days left before my 30 days return to amazon is up. I originally purchased the G29 using my credit card. I've no longer got that card so if I return the G29 to Amazon I will only be able to have the money credited to my Amazon gift card balance. Therefore I would only be able to get another wheel from Amazon.

I really want a wheel that is going to work with all of my games properly and not just a few of them.

I looked on Amazon and the T300rs gt edition is no longer available @£324. But I did see this T150 pro with the t3pa pedal set: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thrustmast...e=UTF8&qid=1516921410&sr=8-20&keywords=t300rs

Is this wheel any good or am I better off with the G29? I could just (only just) afford to get the T150 and also keep the G29. I could also probably afford to buy just a T300rs without the pedal set and use my G29 one with the adaptor you mentioned.

I'm just really upset that the G29 doesn't work on F1 2017 and FM7 like it does on PC2 and RRRE. I was almost in tears a little earlier. Yes I know... sad isn't it.. a grown man crying over a steering wheel???

I love the G29 on PC2 and RRRE so just because of that I'm reluctant to send it back and risk that I don't like the Thrustmaster. I'm totally messed up in the head about it all.

    ARRRRGH!!! :D

Oh btw.... @Metalogic ... I forgot to say that I like the look of your setup. I can't afford a proper wheel mounting system. But I had an old chest of draws thats the perfect height. With the draws removed i just stick my legs through the gap and hey presto, a good solid mounting.

I know its not great to look at but it does the job just fine. :)

Hey... I just noticed that in RRRE the invert FFB setting is on. In Forza its off. Any ideas why this is the case?

You posted pictures while i typed, you came across as decent till i saw that scarf, lol. Burnley, fair play to ya, having a good season.

Proof in itself that it does exactly as you expect from it, what more convincing or proof do you need, two mainstream pc titles you tried your wheel works perfectly and as expected, two more titles need a little digging and tweaking, only you can make the final decision, but if it works perfectly in two mainstream games and you "love it"..............keep it, you will find a fix or the root cause of your other issues.

    Different implemetation i guess.

Edit-Are you using Heysham Nuclear to power that wall in the background?

Was not there until today morning, using Windows 8.1 and 10 with IE 11 on two different systems. Today it's there sitting in the last line of my entries after name, date and time. I also could not like and dislike and so on - this bar was also not displayed - now it's there, too. I do not know if You need to be there for at least x days, write x entries, create y threads or be liked z times - but now everything is where it should be.

Woah, nice power supply bar in the background and nearly every slot is used. Do worry about your old piece of furniture, that's for sure the point where most of the wheel owners started at some day. As long as it works, everything is fine. My brother started about a year ago, and his seat (same make and model like yours, just another color) always moved backwards when braking - he just used some leather straps to settle and fix the distance between desk and chair, and this worked, too.

I have to say if RRRE and PC2 feel fine but not F1 or Forza then there is no guarantee another wheel in those games will feel better. Also, if those are fine why even play F1 2017 and Forza? :p. Maybe just get Assetto Corsa and rFactor2 as well and you'll have plenty to do.;)

Seriously though I'm not sure the T150 wheel will be any better than the G29 (I have a G920 and chose it over the T150) even though the pedals may be.

T300 or above would be the way to go. I don't own F1 2017 or Forza 7 but I did try the Forza 7 demo (on PC) and the out of the box wheels settings were ok and I thought could probably be better with some tweaking. I can't believe a mainstream wheel like the G29 would be so bad on those games. Maybe there is some tweaking to be done.

I live with my parents (has it's perks) so everything I own electrical wise is in my room. Most of the sockets are used but not everythings switched on at the same time. There'd be a fire otherwise. :D

I follow Liverpool, Burnley and Barcelona... in that order. But I'm generally a football fan... will watch most games. Currently watching Yeovil / MUTD right now, put a pound on the home team winning. :D

I spent 6 hours on Forza last night into the early hours of this morning tweaking FFB settings and finally managed to find a happy medium. Will be trying that with F1 2017 tonight. Yes... I've finally made the decision to keep the G29. As you say... its fine with PC2 and RRRE and I may be able to get it close enough to right with other titles in the near future.
