Just a "Mini" question.. I've done a quick search on the forum and suspect it's been asked before (but I couldn't find it), but could - would you (Sector 3 Studios) be able to give a little more insight into the Mini Challenge that was available a few years back (as an online competition event), and is the content still relevant to the currant release of R3E. If so is there any possible chance of an imminent release, as I have a couple of £'s to burn Below, it's not my video but looks mighty fun, and would play 100% better today I feel. Thank you
Hey up, it was in an earlier release to R3E briefly but hasn't ever been licenced for the current game so I don't think it's likely to come out, sorry.
If I remember it was told that the mini was a simple conversion from Race07 and only for that competition... IMO it wasn't that bad to drive and had some fun with it back in the days, but it was noteable that it doesn't had the quality compared to the other cars and definitely not comparable with cars in R3e nowerdays. I you are searching for a fun-cup comparable to that mini, have a look at the TT-Cup-cars...
I have both the TT Cup cars and the NSU, which are both a hoot to hoon, but I fancied a bit of door to door with the mini, maybe as a Christmas gift
I'd love to see the Mini Challenge in R3E, although I live in Oxford, where Minis are made, so I may be a little biased... They're fun in AMS, though that doesn't have the Gen 3 model I'd really like to race - I posted more about this (and some videos) here: https://forum.sector3studios.com/in...oming-content-features.112/page-39#post-80820 Can't be that hard to license, surely, BMW own Mini and Raceroom doesn't seem to have had problems licensing from BMW...
It wasn't a Mini, it was a "BL 850" It was a sponsored competition with PCI Nano. The model feels like it had 5 and a half polygons if you compare it to what we do these days.
