New Racing Series for R3E (suggestions)

Didn't Simbin dabble in truck racing a few years back? Seem to remember destroying a few tracks (and I do mean destroying) in some trucks with lightening acceleration and no brakes, few years ago though so please don't quote me on it being Simbin, sure it was Sim something though, memory like a sieve I'm afraid, damned sure there is someone on here who didn't misspend their youth as I did.

 

Trucks, or the Maserati Trofeo 2015 Experience?

 

We have DTM, ADAC and soon TT-Cup.
All are German series which is convenient cause they use somewhat the same tracks, but not that exciting..
We also have WTCC which is good for the track location variety.

But we really need more series focused outside europe!
So more focus on licensing a US, Asian and Australian series!!

Then you can go back to Europe again to license a UK series and also STCC, those awesome scandinavian tracks haven't been in a racing game since Race 07 what I know of!!.. .. ..... ... .

 

I'd love to have a US Series but I think the Tudor Series is probably not even an option considering Ferrari, Porsche, and Aston Martin make up most of the GT Class. I'm still holding out hope we can get a Super GT series (since they're running with the DTM cars in 2017).

 

For those who don't want anything but the most authentic, FIA GT4. According to Wikipedia, the following cars are allowed, with some familiar makes included, and it's quite a list!

I'd think getting at least a few of these new additions would make for a very nice racing experience.

Now bear with me for the rest. For the ultimate in flexibility, I'd like to see some fantasy leagues S3 came up with, because it should be much easier to license some of these cars. My proposal is for a couple of classes, GTR for something akin to FIA GT1 and 2, and GTS which is more along the lines of GT4 for lower powered racing, and could include front wheel drive cars with a proper BoP (edit: darn it, I forgot that the four GT classes are called GTR-1, 2, 3 and X. Now what do I call GTR?? Grr...)

Yeah, I'm clearly corrupted by Gran Turismo and Forza's car lists and racing events. But this would allow S3 to provide for racing with some seldom seen race cars, which might be easier to acquire. We could have fantasy liveries designed by users from whatever racing game would support such a feature, or from artwork.

I think we can easily beat the 14 minutes Google maps schedules for this route...

 

The Ford and the Saleen are already in the GTR1 class. And we will most probably get a Ruf in there when the GTRX class will be reshuffled. Not a 911 based one, but still a Ruf. Together with the Gumpert and the Koenigsegg.

 

Yeah, I just wanted the two originals included in the list for completeness. Plus I think it was late.

I also want the Pagani Zonda in there, come to think of it... *edits*

I am just gonna put this out there, but it seems like way too much work to do.
Not one developer has done anything based on The Formula Drift Series, so it would definitely be a unique addition.

no developer actually has a particularly drift orientated engine, ac is the best but it is far from perfect.

 

I might be mistaken but I'm thinking we'll see a Nissan GTR1 as well from a screenshot a while back.

 

I feel this game does a great job of simulating traction loss(drifting). In my opinion if the gaming engine were used for any drift series, it would be by far the best we would have atm.
