Hey am I missing something with the nordschleife layout , where is all the writing on the track ? Don't really notice this missing until I couldn't play the game last week and played the ac version.
AC version is vastly exaggerated. Track wasn't nearly as plastered when I last been there in spring. Here's what Alex Hummler, the lead track artist, said about that topic back when the track was released:
Maybe exaggerated but looked cool. I assume alot of it gets washed off but on big race weekends the graffiti picks up. Would love to see an overlay to have it in both respects but I'm sure that's not possible or unwarranted.
At least both are more accurate than Gran Turismo which has really profoundly bright graffiti or iRacing's where they literally repeat the same patterns multiple times
I guess their take was to go for accuracy rather than "atmosphere" in that department, which personally I'm in favour of. During the most times of the year the track is not that heavily frequented by spectators and a rather "austere" visual experience for most parts. As for an additional overlay, I doubt that too.
I like Nordschleife of R3E very much. All courses of R3E were bought, but I'm running through only Nordschleife. I have a dream. I'd like also to run through Nordschleife(of R3E) of colored leaves.
Since we are on this topic. Are any of the R3E tracks laser scanned ? (AC's version apparently is). If not are there plans to have laser scanned tracks ?
Probably just CAD data along with numerous other resources unless they specifically state otherwise. Just like all the other tracks in the game. Nordschliefe is a bit of a special exception because buying the scan data from a 3rd party is how they do business. Unless you want to create it totally by feel like Pcars did, and end up with the abomination they call Nords.
