I am aware of all this, fellas, but none of them, not even the sum of them. are anything near being awesome. New Gt3 physics- exciting and huge, but only for one class. performance is simply great as is @ChatCureuil some steering animations were hindered by missing driver animations, some bc missing steering animation but some cars don't display 45° bc of missing driver animations but bc there are no plans to fix them. They were said to stay as they are.
Who said there were no plans to fix the driver animations??.. From the two last patch notes: Art: BMW 134 Judd - New driver animation BMW M6 GT3 : improved the yellow headlights visuals Chevrolet Daytona Prototype : New driver animation DMD P20 : New driver animation Mistral M530 : New driver animation Mistral M531 : New driver animation Art: Aquila - New driver animation Canhard R51 - New driver animation Cougar C14-1 - New driver animation Saleen S7R - New driver animation And the rest will surely folow shortly.
Maybe I'm wrong but as I said driver animations are just a gimmick and you've shown that they are far from being extraordinary nothing to justify the hype It surely is a lot of work, but what is it about this Patch that'll make it worth the wait? I still wonder... I would like to see the experience become deeper first, not simply broader all the time
maybe triple screen support I'm personally looking forward to the 64bit version and the physics update.. the rest won't hurt either. What do you expect? Re-invention of something? What would you consider an exciting patch? Maybe there will be a patch that introduces stuff you waited for a long time but another person isn't excited at all because he just doesn't care about the things you care about. Easy.
...and the next one is going to mention GT3 physics, again and what do I expect? Take a look over the fence, there is a lot of other sims which do many things brilliantly. My hope is for GTR3 being the provinggrounds for DX11/R3E/UE. That will be a gamechanger with a smooth transition.
Nice interview from Mr. Chardon here! http://www.racedepartment.com/threa...xt-week-and-sector3-studios-interview.144185/
I love everything about R3E, except that the sim is web based (will not run offline due to no game launcher) and our inability to select the opponents we want to race against in single player. I would love to have a multi-class race option in single player. As a cancer survivor, I don't have the stamina to run online like I used to. Single player is my only option. But I am restricted to run what is given by R3E.
Just remember folks, like always when physics are being changed/improved. It takes a little while to get used to. So before you go on forum and bash the new "undriveable" physics, spend a couple of hours with it and get used to it. Now it will probably not be such a drastic change that it will feel like an entire new physics model but still. On another note: I'm super impressed with how much raceroom has developed and improved over the years. It has grown so much on me, especially the past year. With VR support which is absolutely fantastic, to the new cars which has also fantastic handling and feel to them. But again, the VR is pure magic. When you can supersample 2 times the resolution on a 1070 and still have tons of headroom makes it truly stand above all competition. And with the fantastic 7.1 audio, you are truly there in the car, on the racetrack. Thanks a million, Sector 3 studios, for all that you've done so far. I'm very thankful and optimistic for the following year to come.
