From my point of view I am willing to wait a week longer instead of having a lot of bugs in the game. It's not like we can not drive at the moment. So Sector3 take all time you need and bring us an epic update
I'm guessing most here (at least the ones that criticize) don't actually work on any sort of development or engineering team for a living...
So we forgetting this? NOVEMBER patch Tomorrow is still november hell even thursday is still november. Just sit tight.
What do you expect from this update? Do you think that will be so different after this update? it's not like the game is not working anymore. it is true that a November patch that arrives at the end of the month is weird. But we know that S3 is not very strong in communication Google translate
Hello! Lately I learned that posting informal information on forum leads to anger when whatever I say doesn't turn out to happen. I have been considering our Discord as a more casual and direct way of communicating. Someone asked if the update would be today, I just said we're more looking at tomorrow for patch. But that's a "we're more looking at tomorrow". We're still busy ironing out the last findings from the testers. If you want an official statement, I would say at this time of the day we're looking good for tomorrow, there hasn't been any major issue found today. Please allow me to still have a casual and relaxed way of communicating with people. I wouldn't enjoy being only allowed to post and speak out if things are solid and confirmed.
I hope not maybe now some people here in the forum will understand it you do a good job and thank you very much for it
i think a large number of person appreciate a lot your (ande generally, s3 guys) way to comunicate with people. so thank you. ps: i work with people each days and probably i understand very well what something mean or not.
Take the good side of it, at least you have people being angry for such tiny little thing that a postponed update. It's better than having nobody waiting for it "C'est la rançon du succès"
Please think about all your happy customers which do not post on this forum or log themselves in to give you a like if you explain yourself to us/your community/your costumers. I for one appreciate how you've explained your situation the last couple of weeks. I really do. It's what separates you from bigger companies/devs who praise their products to the skies. I also wrote the same thing over at Kunos' forum: There are many "quiet observers" who just love your game and who are happy with what you do but not posting here (for various reasons). My father, for example, doesn't know English very well, so he doesn't participate in any forum. Nevertheless, he enjoys every update/patch of any game. And there are thousand of people like my father. A friend of mine knows English very well but doesn't like to take part in any conversations here or in other forums because he rather plays the games - so he told me. He always teases me that he will soon have more hours in the games we play because I'd read and write too much. To make it short: Thank you @J-F Chardon and all the other Sector 3 members for working so hard on your game and keeping us updated.
I'm more than happy to wait knowing that the end result will be worth it. Over the past few days some of the behaviour of people has been more akin to that of small spoilt children, crying cos they cant have what they want. This is a growd up place for grown up people and as such all should be aware that in the games industry all does not go as planned all the time. Just pick up your toys and put them back in the pram and let the devs do what they need to do.It'll all come good sooner or later.
The forums are filled with people who criticize. I hope S3 knows this does not reflect reality. The majority of people like R3e but as said before (happy people do not post). The patch was given to beta tester this week end. Imagine that there are changes in the patch. It must be difficult to fix it in 24 hours? Better a patch 100% functional than with bugs. And those who criticize because the patch does not come out fast enough, will be the same ones who will complain because there are problems with the patch NB : I used google for translation
Schulz von Thun? Anybody? ;-) It's always problematic to communicate without facial expressions, gestures, intonation, ... and even then communication can be prone to failure. So we have to be very careful when writing. I once was told that everything we say to another person cannot be withdrawn. You can always try to explain yourself or to apologise but you can never put back the words that came out of your mouth (- like toothpaste that comes out of its tube if you want to have a picture).
As long as you are ther owner of this place and pay all its bills, and thus can freely make the rules - yes, certainly! Just as a reminder to some other people.
And here we see Chardon vs the Army of The Angry-Forum-Empire after more looking at Thursday rather than Wednesday.
Why not smaller patches with content that already works? Starting with triple screen support for example
