I've not made a single attempt to edit any files with regards to the HUD, as I've said many times, all the parts of the HUD fit nicely into my triple monitor setup as default, well until tonight, tonight I start a race at Bathurst and the red/white info banner is appearing right in front of my eyes, rather than along the top, well at least I think it was the top, definitely not slap, bang in my way. If I've not touched anything, who has? Looks like the recently unlocked HUD folder has got a rogue contributor. How do I change back something I've not changed? Impossible to drive as I can't see my braking points as there's a bloody banner in the way.
Hmm, that's a weird one. If you navigate to the hud_options.xml and delete it, the game will create a new one upon launching the game. My Documents / my games / SimBin / R3E / User Data.
Cheers nate will do! Do hope this is not an issue of unlocking the HUD .xml as much needed for a lot of people. Will report back with update when I can be arsed to actually do the deed!
Well I deleted HUD options.xml but still get the banner right in my line of sight, have disabled in game overlays, which is a bit of a pain but will probably still wake up alive in the morning! Here's hoping whatshisface comes up with a HUD tool asap because as of this minute I most definitely don't want to be working out the math's myself, as according to my arithmetic I'm only 21!
Are you sure you received those messages before? AfaIk they have always been very central, although not right in the middle of the screen admittedly. Whatshisface is well ahead of you: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/r3e-hud-manager.9774/
Hmm, it says it crashed cause you deleted your hud_options.xml, why did you do that? Jokes aside, let's ask @Kitsune Magyar to find sb who is willing to have a look at that one.
Something something triple screen and 64-bit. Someone who actually wrote this code should take a look at it. And that's my job.
Sorry Kitsune, under the current circumstances you seemed like the most reliable person to ask, which, I know, is a sad statement in itself. Thanks for taking the time.
