No, I didn't try VPN, can you recommend any? Problem is, that raceroom stream is not recommended via VPN.

yes i know about the streaming , im just trying to see with as many ppl as possible if this actually fixes your connection issue ; as for a vpn , any free one that you dont have to sign up for is ok , its just to test that you get into the game ok

I tried to use VPN (Proton VPN) and 3 times was no problem. Starts with no problem, but slower, of course. Picture below shows my connection via South Korea (Physically I am in Slovakia)

Unless it takes more than, let's say two minutes, it's a normal behaviour. Problems at that stage usually appear to be a connection issue (the game doesn't get the required information from the main server). Trying a VPN is a usual suggestion in that case.

Yeah, sounds like a connection or routing issue.

I have the same issue after a video card change. I did a clean install. It started yesterday. Now not starting again. Only the small picture forever. I reverted to the old videocard and it is not starting with that either. I did a clean install again with the new videocard. (GPU driver install, then R3E clean install with deleted personal files) It started again today.

But I have concerns whether it will start tomorrow...

What is the solution? I am not prepared to use VPN. Sounds illogical. It has nothing to do with my network settings as this has never happened to me before yesterday.

Using VPN in this case has little to do with your network settings, it's only a way to change the connection route from your PC to game servers in case there's something between them that stops the game from correctly loading.

at the moment it looks like they have proper issue with their server.
You should be able to connect without any additional VPN or something.

A vpn ; is a useful tool , sometimes your isp, will change how it routes to the raceroom servers and effectively this stops the game from working ; by using a vpn it will take a different route ; so if you cant log in ; using a vpn is a way of checking that its not an issue with your isp ; thats all

For sure a VPN is a useful tool, but not if the Gameserver are that instable like in the near past.

What VPN do you recommend @Andi Goodwin ? Is there a free one to use?

What effect does it have on my connection? Should I modify e.g. port forwarding when using VPN? Or can I set it up so that it is only in use when playing Raceroom (or any Steam game)?

    I get:
    Server connection error
Can't connect to server. Error code:0

Worked fine just about an hour ago....
Twitter says it's down for Maint, so why can't Race Room show same notice on the Forum here, or on Steam, for those of us who don't use social media sites like Twister and face block.
