Resolved Shadowplay won´t record ingame sound

Hey guys!

i´m glad that i (finally) found my way into this SIM and i really enjoyed the last couple of days with the game
I really wanted to share some of my laps but while editing the vids i discovered that the captured files doesn´t have any sounds which is a shame.
I record all my vids with shadowplay (or as it is called now Geforce Experience) and i doesn´t have any problems at all in other games.
rF2 works, AC works, DiRT Rally works even with F1 2016 i have no problem but only capturing R3E doesn´t work like it should do.
it captured the gameplay yes but only the sound is missing and i really don´t know why.
i downgraded Geforce Experience, i downgraded the geforce driver, i updated the soundcard driver but nothing helped.
to make the whole situation even stranger, it records the sounds from crewchief but not the ingame sound?!

Why?

my Specs are
i5 4670K @4,2GHz
8GB RAM
GTX 970
ASUS Xonar DGX soundcard

Hi and welcome,

have you tried capturing a video without CrewChief running? Maybe for some reason it only picks up the sound from CC as long as that's active.

 

yes ofcourse i did that aleady but it doesn´t help either

I don't remember any issues with Shadowplay, but I do have issues with Xonar DX (pretty much an older version of DGX) and R3E since I've installed the Creators update for Win 10 - the in-game sound is much louder than the main menu (I have to set the master volume in game to like 20 % to get to more or less normal volume levels, but then of course the menu is quiet). I've mentioned it here before but got no response from anyone.

I will try Shadowplay to see how it does.

 

Oh wow. If this is a soundcard related issue this really needs a fix from the devs!
But i hope that this is not the case. I'll wait for your feedback @Case

Anyway I've tried now and while my volume problem is obviously still there, the Shadowplay video was saved with proper audio.

I'll test my onboard sound today and maybe this will help.
I really don't know what is wrong.

 

Have you tried disabling GX mode in Xonar Audio Centre?
