Hi all, is it just me who experience a very sluggish forum behaviour the last couple of day’s? I have no problems on other sites etc. Only this forum response is very slow.
It's so slow that I had time to make a pic via snipping tool... And it's still loading my 'agree' rating for @BeefMcQueen while I'm writing this. It also takes ages loading the 'New posts' site and then the 'mark forums read' option, and uploading this pic No problems on other sides tho... Greetings from Lower-Saxony, Germany
Also slow here in Frankonia, Germany. Deutsche Telekom VDSL. Especially when I want to mark all posts as read
Well I wrote it is not slow on my PC but I have to recall this. Also on my PC the forum is very sluggish
At the Netherlands it's also veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
Yep can confirm. As written by Jos also in NL-Tilburg it is very slow responding. Probably we use the same server/gateway etc as our German friends? Ask the ISP to install an extra DIMM
If we live so close together and it works for you, you could give me your WiFi password... Maybe it's part of the whole concept: "The page you requested is going to be loaded SOON™" (No complaint, just kidding) As long as I can play without issues I'm happy! Have a nice and racy Sunday!!!
I came here to start a thread asking exactly the same thing. The forums have been slow for at least two days now. I quadruple posted the other day, because the "post reply" button kept turning blue again without my post appearing. No problems with any other site.
Better throttle control and stiffer setup will fix it Hit n miss for me, mostly ok, every now n then it`ll slow down for a page or too then be fine.
Just to let you know the performace of the forum is as it used to be. FAST! Thanks for upgrading the server and/or wire speed connection
Perhaps some news on the big December update may move things along a tad. Forums defo a bit sluggish to open & navigate here in the wild South West of Blighty but then, with little news for a couple months, I'd imagine you'll only hear an echo when it does eventually load up!
11 days ago, the forum was migrated by the host after they sent us this message: We have identified an issue on the physical machine hosting one or more of your Droplets, which are listed below. In order to minimize disruption, we will be attempting a migration of the Droplets to a healthier physical machine. Throughout the migration, control panel and API events will not succeed for the affected Droplet(s) including power offs, resizes, and attempts to destroy the Droplet. I'm not sure if 11 days matches what you guys noticed, but it seems the migration might be related to the slow reaction times of the forum that you reported. Last night I rebuilt the forum cache and index, ran some maintenance scripts from XenForo and apparently it's better, so thanks for reporting and hopefully it stays this way until December.
