Hi, I was watching some onboard footage of the SLS AMG GT3 and compared it to my own ingame onboard footage and I knew Raceroom was close to the real thing, but SO CLOSE? So a question came into my mind.: I know that most cars are recorded in the past but how is it today? Are the sounds for the new upcoming cars also your own recordings or is it now more that you stitch sounds together you find on the net or fresh up older sounds? How was it done with the M6 GT3? It sounds amazingly realistic. Also I found this cool interview from you @Anthony Monteil http://www.tracktimeaudio.com/?p=594 Some guy on youtube said "one of the raceroom sound engineers applied to polyphony digital but they declined"... huh? I think it's a hoax isn't it? (firstly you're all alone.. on your own.. so lonely.. poor anthony ) I'm still amazed how sector 3 slaps all major developer's asses, soundwise. Edit: some guy on neogaf wrote this last year you don't want to leave us, don't you? /jk... :-D I think it was the time when SimBin shut down and Sector3 wasn't formed yet.
Best sound I have ever heard in any game! We just need come more older stuff to show it off! Trans am series please!!
Of course also Kudos to all the other members of sector 3. Thank you to the physics department, the graphics designers, the coders, the producer, the artists, the backend guy(s), the janitor and of course the beta testers. I think i know all your names but i don't want to confuse them. Sry i drank a bit alcohol tonight, I'm a bit tipsy. I love you guys (and girls if there are any) And thanks to the community for this strong bond and overall team spirit here. We all know it's not always easy times, some things don't go as planned, some people get disappointed. But you, Mr sector3, are really good at managing and balancing out all wishes from the community and tasks from the publisher. Not easy i imagine, but you're doing a great job. So let's look all forward to an exciting future. And get Anthony some hookers so that he'll never leave. And get hookers for yourselves too that you all never leave. Hookers for everyone!!! Cheers.
Recent GT's were recorded last year in Silverstone, both external and onboard sounds. You can give Anthony a follow on Flickr to follow his trips and race weekends: https://www.flickr.com/photos/143694754@N04/sets/72157672425875976 Soon at the Paul Ricard ;-)
Imagine some of the cars is trans am series! The group 5 corvette is an example, I forced myself to master it's challenging handling simply because it sounds so awesome! You won't see me in any other car at a group 5 race. Give us trans am series, preferably historic Thanks
And of its too much to ask then how about the 2nd generation camaro iroc. Then it's only one car and one livery lots of different colours I just know the sound will be spot on like the rest of your car's, older sounds better, look at the group 5 cars
The sound in this game is simply amazing. how the engine sound is varying across the revs is genius. I especially like the Merc-DTM 2016 sound, masterpiece ! great work Anthony
ohhhh yessssssss ... links: http://silodrome.com/ford-mustang-boss-302-trans-am/, https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2016/...g-boss-302-trans-am-cars-unfolds-in-monterey/
I'll keep you updated after my trip at Paul Ricard in 2 weeks, and you might pick some of the upcoming content in the photos As said Jean-François, from now on and depending on the opportunities, most of the cars will be recorded on track to ensure the best audio quality in game.
Great to read that Maybe you have a chance to visit the DTM-Race at Norisring or Nürburgring this year? Readed a news yesterday that the DTM-Classics will have some Support-Races during that Weekends
Sound is so important. One of the main reasons why I stick to Raceroom. I cannot stand artificial, generic sounds any longer Codemasters are doing a great job as well
