Hi, after my first races in VR I pretty much noticed, that the end of the race is a bit uncomfortable when using VR. After crossing the finish-line, the perspectiv switches to TV-Cam. As the Cam is moving automatically atleast I'm getting a bit dizzy. Would it be possible to switch to static-cams when using VR?
There is workaround for this. You can switch to external cam before start of race (or whenever you have opportunity) and choose static cam group. If you play offline, you can even do this in replay if I remember correctly.
It would be better to stick to the drivers view and let the driver continue on the slow down lap, quite why it jumps to an External Cam the second you cross the line is a very poor design choice. This has been one of my pet hates of this Sim, minor issue of course but be good to have it "normal" like other Sims one day.
Coming back to this... So if there is a Workaround possible, to switch to the static cam-group during the race - would it be possible to insert a new Setting for the "prefered replay cam-group" in the Video-Settings, so that the cam-group will be set before the race and in replay automatically according to that setting? @J-F Chardon
While you're fiddling under the bonnet here, is there any chance of preventing the TV cameras from panning when using VR? It would be brilliant to watch the replays from the existing TV cameras but have them not pan at all (perhaps they would be fixed at the mid point of their pan ranges), so you could just use your head to follow the action. Also, can I have a pony please?
I guess that was my request just about In replay you can switsch to different Cam-Groups: TV, Static, Action and Heli (did I miss one?) With the Static-Cam you would get TV-Like cams but without panning...
Yes that'd be part of the "fix", no more tracking or zooming logic when in VR and tv cameras are used.
